Woah Folks, I Had Another Dream

1x01 - “Part 1”

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

It happens to be a stormy night. The wind is howling, and a
young woman, AMANDA, aged 25, is sleeping. But she tosses and turns
on her bed in nervous anticipation.

DREAM SEQUENCE - INT. BEACH - DAY

AMANDA, in her dream, picks up a seashell at the beach.

AMANDA

(narrating)

I had a dream. Except it wasn’t just an ordinary dream.
It’s quiet. Silent. Not exactly the dream I thought in
mind. I am at the beach. I never expected it to be the
first dream I ever dreamed to take me to the most
relaxing place.

Continuing on, she walks in delight on the crystal white sand.

AMANDA (CONT’D)

A nice sunset is taking place. The sand feels nice.

She then pauses. Thunder then rumbles.

AMANDA

(puzzled)

Okay, this is not supposed to happen. How weird.

Rain then pounds onto her. The thunder crashes. AMANDA then
screams profusely. It was a scary sight.

CUT TO:

INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

All of a sudden, she wakes up, confused. The phone rang.

AMANDA

Hello?

INT. DR. DOE'S OFFICE - DAY

JANE DOE is sternly sitting in her office.

JANE DOE

(on phone)

Amanda? This is your therapist. I am calling you tonight
because you have a referral.

INTERCUT - PHONE CONVERSATION

AMANDA

(in shock)

Huh? How is that possible?

AMANDA discreetly looks at her watch. Did she remember about a
referral? Was she seeing things?

JANE DOE

I’ve heard all about your dream sequences. But don’t
worry, I am here to help. Come by my office tomorrow and
we will sort this out.

AMANDA

(puzzled)

Okay. I don’t know who you are or what your name is, but…

JANE DOE

Nobody does. You can call me by the name of Doe. Jane Doe.

CUT TO:

INT. THERAPIST OFFICE - DAY

The next day, AMANDA is in the therapist’s office.

AMANDA

...and then the storm quickly raged in. It was puzzling.
It was weird. It is as if the dream was telling me
something.

JANE DOE

Interesting. A lot of times dreams can reveal some
unresolved trauma in our lives that needs to be resolved.

AMANDA

(puzzled)

What does this mean?

JANE DOE

A lot of things.

AMANDA becomes investigative, eager to listen.

JANE DOE

In your dream, a storm unexpectedly came into a
peaceful evening at the beach. You were scared, which is
understandable. When you have these storms in your life,
it is natural to think that it is against you and fear
took over. But what this really means is that there is
some repressed anger and sadness in your life that is
being released in this manner when turmoil or conflict is
in your life. What is holding you back today?

AMANDA becomes puzzled, as if she is receiving bad news for the
first time in her life.

AMANDA

Well, what do you mean?

JANE DOE

(sternly)

Have you ever experienced turmoil or conflict recently?

AMANDA takes a deep breath.

AMANDA

Recently, there were events in my life that turned bad.

What were the events that turned bad? What was the turmoil AMANDA

INT. BLACK - NIGHT

Previously on Whoa Folks, I Had Another Dream...

INT. CLOSET - DAY

Back in the closet, Amanda overhears the commotion. She dials Sarah on her cell phone. 

INT. CAR - DAY

Sarah is attempting to drive on the highway when her phone rings. 

Immediately she picks up. 

SARAH

Amanda! Are you okay? No, stay right here! 

INTERCUT - CLOSET/CAR

Amanda panics. 

AMANDA

Oh God, you can’t go there. He’s looking for you. I hid in the closet. 

SARAH

S***! I need to go to the police station. 

The noise gets closer. 

Amanda takes a panicked breath. 

The bedroom door is broken down. Charles enters aggressively. 

He then opens the closet door. 

Amanda shrieks as Charles points the gun at her. 

AMANDA

Who are you and what do you want with me?

CHARLES

Little girl, you know who I am. 

He puts his hands on Amanda’s mouth as Amanda struggles. 

Sarah panics, in the car. 

SARAH

Oh my God! Honey, I’m coming!

She pulls over to the police station. 

BACK TO PRESENT EPISODE. 

INT. POLICE STATION HALLWAY - DAY

Sarah rushes to the police station. 

An OFFICER ON DUTY catches Sarah. 

OFFICER

Ms. Turner? What are you doing here?

Sarah crosses her arms. 

SARAH

I am reporting a kidnapping of my daughter Amanda Turner. I know who killed all these museum victims. 

OFFICER

What is your theory? 

SARAH

It’s my ex-boyfriend, Charles West. He’s Amanda’s biological father. 

OFFICER

I remember that guy. Say no more. I’m calling for backup. 

The officer pulls out his backup talkie and proceeds to make a call. 

Sarah stands there, with a sigh. 

Minutes later, the officer comes back towards Sarah. 

OFFICER

Come with me. Give us the exact location of where Amanda may be. 

She opens the “Find My iPhone” app and spots a moving target. She then shows the officer. 

Her face reads of fear. 

The officer nods. 

EXT. POLICE STATION PARKING LOT - DAY

Sarah and the officer meet up with OFFICER #2 and OFFICER #3. 

OFFICER

Boys, we are heading towards the corner of 7th and Main. We have a kidnapper and a potential suspect of serial murder on the loose. 

OFFICER #1

Right on it, sir. Let’s go. 

The officers get in their cars. Sarah gets in the officer’s car’s passenger side. 

EXT. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - DAY

An urban area is situated in Staten Island in the middle of New York City.

EXT. SEVENTH STREET - DAY

The officers in the car without Sarah notice a suspicious opening of a car’s trunk. 

The officer’s car with Sarah in, follows close behind. 

The police lights flash on. 

INT. TRUNK - DAY

Tied up, Amanda struggles. Her mouth is tied shut. 

Amanda nearly screams but is unable to. 

Her tied up feet nearly kicks the trunk. 

The car screeches to a stop. 

EXT. SEVENTH STREET - DAY

The officers get out of the car and pull out their guns. 

Charles runs out of the suspicious car. 

CHARLES

F***! 

Sarah gets out of the police car. 

SARAH

Give me back my daughter, you murdering b*******! Yeah, you heard me. 

The officer pushes Sarah back for protection. 

Officer #2 tazes Charles. 

OFFICER #2

You can’t run away from the law sir. You’re under arrest. 

The officer handcuffs Charles. 

Officer #3 opens the trunk. He unties Amanda. 

Amanda breathes. 

AMANDA

Mommy! 

She jumps out of the trunk and runs towards Sarah. 

AMANDA

I got so scared. I thought he was going to kill me. 

SARAH

It’s over now, Amanda. At least I hope. 

This has been an explosive season finale of Whoa Folks, I Had Another Dream. The storyline continues in season 3 with the trial. You don’t want to miss that.

INT. BLACK - NIGHT

Previously on Whoa Folks, I Had Another Dream…

INT. AMANDA’S ROOM - DAY

Sarah leaps back from Amanda. 

SARAH

No, no, no, no, no, no. 

AMANDA

It’s a good possibility. Charles knows how to play the strings. 

SARAH

I need to get out of here, Amanda. We need to get out of here.  

AMANDA

I will find Charles. With the police. I will make sure he doesn’t hurt you. Nor will he attempt to kill anyone else. I think if he’s capable of…

SARAH

I’m leaving Amanda. And it breaks my heart. I worry for your safety. I worry about what’s going to happen. He’ll most likely kill you too if your dreams are correct, which they are. 

Amanda lays back down as Sarah leaves the room. 

BACK TO PRESENT EPISODE. 

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Sarah rushes downstairs. 

Amanda follows close behind. 

AMANDA

Mom, you don’t have to do this. 

SARAH

I must. 

LIVING ROOM

Sarah exits through the front door. The door slams shut. 

Amanda shakes her head. 

The door locks. 

LIVING ROOM WINDOW

Amanda rushes to the window. She sees Sarah’s car rush away in the distance. 

Tears flow from her eyes. 

AMANDA (V.O.)

I’m screwed. How am I going to head out now?

Suddenly, a window crashes. 

Amanda then rushes upstairs. 

INT. AMANDA’S ROOM - DAY

She heads back into her room and locks the door. 

She hears a pounding noise, and a mysterious male voice lurking in the distance. 

MYSTERIOUS VOICE

Sarah, I know you’re in there. I’ve come to take what’s mine. 

Amanda panics. 

She gets into her closet. 

She opens the door and enters in. 

The door shuts. 

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

In the living room, the mysterious voice reveals himself as the masked man. 

The masked man walks by with a gun in one hand. 

With the other hand, he takes off the mask, revealing himself to be Charles. 

CHARLES

You got a nice place here, Sarah. Sure would hate to mess around here. 

INT. CLOSET - DAY

Back in the closet, Amanda overhears the commotion. She dials Sarah on her cell phone. 

INT. CAR - DAY

Sarah is attempting to drive on the highway when her phone rings. 

Immediately she picks up. 

SARAH

Amanda! Are you okay? No, stay right here!

AMANDA
