FADE IN:
INT. BLACK - NIGHT
Previously on Whoa Folks, I Had Another Dream…
Tears flow from Amanda’s face.
Sarah sits Amanda down on the sofa and holds her as tightly as she could.
Sarah trembles in fear.
AMANDA (CONT’D)
Oh God, we’re not safe. We’re doomed. We gotta get out of here.
SARAH
Amanda, it’s okay. It’s a s***** situation. If that suspect is who I think it is, then he can’t hurt you. He’ll have to hurt me first.
AMANDA
Mom, don’t.
Amanda sinks into her mother’s arms further, trying to muffle her cries.
SARAH
I have the key. I’ll put the fire out and lock the cabin. By tomorrow, we’re going home and locking the door too. Noone is going to hurt my daughter. I’ll make sure of it.
Amanda breaks away and takes a breath. Sarah trembles.
BACK TO PRESENT DAY.
EXT. NEIGHBORHOOD CUL DE SAC - DAY
An affluent neighborhood sits in the middle of town.
EXT. TURNER HOUSE - DAY
The house sits, without light.
A car is parked close to the garage.
Sarah and Amanda exit the car and head into the front door of the house.
The door opens, and they enter inside.
The door shuts.
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
Amanda and Sarah then rush to the living room.
Sarah picks up the newspaper she picked up from the front door.
Amanda then pokes at Sarah.
Sarah turns to Amanda.
AMANDA
So, should we go to the museum and look for clues?
SARAH
We just got home, Amanda.
AMANDA
I know that. But we need to look for some clues.
SARAH
Okay, but just one time. After this, we are locking our house doors.
Both Sarah and Amanda turn towards the front door and leave the scene.
EXT. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - DAY
An urban area is situated in Staten Island in the middle of New York City.
EXT. MUSEUM - DAY
A museum sits in the outskirts of Manhattan.
INSERT - SIGN
reading “MUSEUM OF EARLY AMERICAN ANTIQUITIES”
EXT. PARKING LOT - DAY
A car pulls into the parking lot in a hurried fashion.
Sarah and Amanda get out of the car.
INT. PRECAMBRIAN ROOM - DAY
SUPER: FIVE MINUTES LATER
Sarah and Amanda walk into the room.
Suddenly, Amanda turns her attention to a suspicious looking mask.
AMANDA
Mom, could this be it?
Sarah then turns her attention towards the mask.
The mask is part of an idol Mexacatalin in origin.
SERIES OF SHOTS - THE IDOL AWAKENS
-- Suddenly, the eyes of the fiercely grinning idol flash
with its teeth glistening.
-- A distant laughter reverberates through the marble hall.
-- The glass display cases shake slightly, lights dimming.
BACK TO THE MUSEUM.
Sarah trembles.
SARAH
Is that thing haunted?
AMANDA
I suspect that. But I don’t think it will act like that without some kind of outside force.
Sarah turns to Amanda.
LAUGHTER eerily lurks in the distance.
AMANDA
See what I mean? There’s an outside force.
SARAH
Honey, let’s get out of here. This is not safe.
Sarah and Amanda rush out of the room.
INT. CAR - DAY
SUPER: FIVE MINUTES LATER
Sarah is intently focused on the drivers seat of the car while Amanda watches by on the passengers side.
SARAH
I am scared. That mask. That idol.
AMANDA
Freaky, huh?
SARAH
I’m taking you home.
Amanda sighs.
FADE OUT
