Tuesday TV Ratings 8/8/23: Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge Ticks Up for Finale, Don’t Forget the Lyrics Hits New Low, America’s Got Talent Maintains Strong Lead (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Even as NBC juggernaut 'America's Got Talent' (0.57, -0.02) lost some ground, 'Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge' (0.27, +0.04) grew by four-hundredths for its 10 p.m. season finale. 'Hot Wheels' has definitely struggled to make a case for renewal, but this last-minute rise places it on better footing than before. On Fox, 'Don't Forget the Lyrics!' (0.15, -0.08) plummeted to a new low and even fell behind the repeat of 'Beat Shazam' (0.16) that led into it. ABC had strong encores of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (0.31), 'Jeopardy! Masters' (0.23), and 'The Chase' (0.18). CBS reran 'FBI' (0.26), 'FBI: International' (0.25), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.22). The CW went with reruns of 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' (0.03) and 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.03/0.05).
