Woah Folks, I Had Another Dream - Episode 1.06 - Part 6

Woah Folks, I Had Another Dream
1x06 - “Part 6”

By: Jessica Boggs

INT. DESK - NIGHT
When we last left Amanda, she had a hypothetical dream with her father telling the story behind the
alleged murder. Now, Amanda is piecing together a record of her past.

Amanda (narrating): Look at all of these photos. It’s clear as day. If Jane Doe is my mother, then it’s all
coming out of left field. I was put on foster care because of the murder. I missed out on so many other
opportunities to bond with her. Mom and Dad could have gotten divorced and I would have been okay,
or would I? I have a picture of me somewhere after the incident. I say, this whole incident has never
affected me like this before. But who am I kidding? Sometimes you never know who to trust in these
moments.

Amanda then gets up. She then heads to bed.

DREAM SEQUENCE
INT. PRISON - DAY
In the last episode, Amanda got startling news from her father about an alleged framing. In this episode,
another dream happens, but the conversation continues.

Amanda’s Dad: Everything was moving so fast. But she was controlling the situation from the get-go.
She lied about me being abusive towards her. Amanda, your mother had a way to fake the whole entire
situation to prey upon her next victim.
Amanda: Well, I have been seeing a therapist. The strange thing is she asked me to call her by the name
of Jane Doe.

Amanda’s dad solemnly looks at her.

Amanda’s Dad: Amanda, sweetie, be very careful. If it is your mother, this sounds like the exact same
tricks she is pulling. I will tell you this. The root of the problem is not where you can see, it is where
you can’t.
Amanda: Where I can’t?
Amanda’s Dad: Where you can’t. You often cannot see the motives behind the problem.
Amanda: But I have been having dreams. Haunting dreams.
Amanda’s Dad: It sounds frightening.
Amanda: I know.
Amanda’s Dad: Just be careful, okay?
Amanda: I will, Dad.

END DREAM SEQUENCE
INT. BEDROOM - MORNING
Amanda wakes up, somewhat enlightened. She then gets up to call Jane Doe.

CUT TO:
INT. JANE DOE’S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS
Jane Doe is pleasantly surprised to hear from Amanda.

Jane Doe: Hello? Oh Amanda, it’s you!

INTERCUT - PHONE CONVERSATION

Amanda: Hi Jane Doe. I think I’m ready to move on from the past.
Jane Doe: This is a good thing.
Amanda: While I had another dream, this one was not scary. It was enlightening.
Jane Doe: And what happened?
Amanda: I was in the prison visiting my father in a hypothetical scenario.
Jane Doe: Why would you do such a thing?
Amanda: I don’t know. It happens.
Jane Doe: Did he hurt you?
Amanda: No. But he did teach me an important lesson. The root of the problem is not in what you
can see, but it is in what you cannot see.
Jane Doe: Glad to hear. Now, I need to see other patients. Good bye!

END PHONE CONVERSATION
Amanda is stunned. Jane Doe has never sounded this cold before on the phone. Could this mean that the
truth may be coming out? Find out on the next episode of Woah Folks, I Had Another Dream!
