The Affair Renewed for Final Season

Despita awful ratings and even worse year-to-year trends, The Affair has received the final season treatment from Showtime, having been granted a fifth season that will serve as the show's last. Averaging just 0.09 so far, The Affair is down nearly 50% from season three. The series debuted in 2014 to critical acclaim, winning three Golden Globes and receiving one Emmy nomination. The series stars Ruth Wilson, Dominic West, and Maura Tierney. Below are the ratings for the entirety of its fourth season:
