TV Ratings 7/12/17: Salvation Flops, ESPYs Lower than 2016, Big Brother Up (UPDATED)

It was a big premiere night for CBS, as well as ESPYs night for ABC. Things didn't go too well for CBS, but ABC won the night with their ESPY coverage. The ESPYs were down about three tenths from last year, but they're still ahead of their ESPN days. For CBS, the night brought mixed results. Big Brother tied a season high with a 1.9, an incredibly impressive result for any Summer show. But they also had the series premiere of Salvation, which started at a meager 0.7 in the demo. That just continues CBS' struggle to find a successful post-BB show. It's a troubling start for the show, but nobody can really say it's surprising. On NBC, Forever Young ticked down to a 0.9, down to tie its low from episode two. Lead-out The Carmichael Show was steady at 0.7. Fox's cooking duo returned from a week off, and Masterchef was steady at an impressive 1.0. The F Word continued to flop as it held onto its 0.6. The CW had an anemic Summer Blockbuster special that could only ties its Arrow repeat lead-in.

Finals Update: Little Big Shots: Forever Young (+0.1) adjusted up.
