NBC Fantasy Schedule: May 1, 2015

Sunday
8-Sunday Night Football

Monday

8-The Voice
10-Chicago Med. The backdoor pilot of Chicago Med recently aired as an episode of Chicago Fire, and has a high likelihood of being NBC's next medical drama hit. In order to ensure this, put it behind The Voice.

Tuesday

8-The Voice
9-The Neil Patrick Harris Show. Sketch comedy and NBC can't really make other comedies work out of The Voice. Originally scheduled here in my first draft were two witch-driven-themed comedies, they don't look good in my opinion so I'm scratching that idea. Already picked up to series.
10-Chicago Fire

Wednesday

8-Law & Order: SVU. Newer shows have not worked in this hour, and I think putting such a long-running show here could potentially solve their problems. It is practically certain to finish last in the time slot, but it will be an improvement and has proven to for the most part hold its own against Empire, which itself may be moving to the same time slot.
9-Shades of Blue. Drama about a single mother and detective recruited to work undercover for the FBI's anti-corruption task force. Already has a blind 13-episode order. I had thought about putting Chicago PD here and launching Shades of Blue at 10, but decided against it for the sake of stability. Being sandwiched between two established shows, Shades of Blue should be able to do around the numbers in the 9pm time slot that Law & Order: SVU has this season.
10-Chicago PD

Thursday

8-Coach. Revival of a comedy from the 1990s, should at least be able to achieve better numbers than this fall's comedies.
8:30-Superstore. Revolving around a group of employees at a big-box store, it examines love, friendship, and the beauty of everyday moments.
9-The Blacklist. I correctly predicted that The Blacklist would fall to 1.7s on Thursday, but the damage has been done and NBC will most likely move and and not move it back to Mondays, hoping instead to launch a show out of The Voice that can more or less hold its own without it.
10-Game of Silencedrama about a rising attorney on the brink of spectacular success who could lose his perfect life when his long-lost childhood friends threaten to expose a dark secret from their violent past.

Friday

8-Grimm
9-Dateline NBC
