Ratings Analysis: The 29th Annual Critics' Choice Awards (0.15) posted a rating that was a bit better than the 28th ceremony (0.10) and made the CW slightly more competitive than usual. The Awards also cleared the one-million mark in total viewership, a touch above 2023's gala. Over on Fox, game show We Are Family (1.17, +0.96) grew by close to a full ratings point in its post-NFL showing, but its retention of football was even worse than last week's Grimsburg debut. On NBC, the Rams v. Lions game posted a monstrous 8.15 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic and easily topped the night. The Peacock network also stuck a Deal or No Deal Island encore (0.38) in the 7 p.m. hour that beat out CBS's 60 Minutes (0.27) head-on. After that came more Yellowstone (0.18/0.16/0.16). America's Funniest Home Videos (0.27, -0.08) slipped on ABC and was bested by an 8 o'clock repeat of itself (0.30). In the 9 p.m. hour, a broadcast of the 1994 animated classic The Lion King (0.18) was an improvement over the week-ago Solo (0.13) but lost a big chunk of its Home Videos lead-in.
Finals Update: NFL: Rams v. Lions (+1.9) and NFL: Packers v. Cowboys (+3.1) adjusted up. We Are Family (-0.2), Football Night in America (-1.5), and the repeat of Deal or No Deal Island (-1.1) adjusted down.
