Thursday TV Ratings 4/12/18: Mom & Life In Pieces Tick Up, Champions Down Without Will & Grace (UPDATED)

It was an interesting night across broadcast, with many shows experiencing changes to their ratings in some way last night. The only show to experience a multiple-tenth shift in the ratings was Life In Pieces, which not only worked its way out of fractionals, but went above-and-beyond and hit its highest result since early March with a two-tenth bounce. The show is steady year-to-year for just the second time this season, making this rebound all the more impressive. Its lead-in Mom was also up, gaining a tenth to a strong 1.4. It's still a bit below average, but it's definitely a strong result nevertheless. At 10, SWAT gained a tenth and managed to tie Scandal in the slot afted falling behind it last week. Kicking off the night, The Big Bang Theory fell a tenth while Young Sheldon was steady. On ABC, Grey's Anatomy slipped to a new low (tied with last week's preliminary low), while the other shows held steady. This was the penultimate episode of Scandal, and it really doesn't seem to be gaining any steam leading into its series finale. NBC's night was steady in the first and third hours, but the second hour dagged significantly with Will & Grace now airing repeats. Behind the 0.5 W&G repeat, Champions dipped to a horrific 0.4, something Great News only did during its December episodes that aired away from the rest of the lineup. Elsewhere, The CW lineup experienced gains in both hours, while Fox's Showtime at the Apollo was up.

Finals Update: The Big Bang Theory (+0.1), Superstore (+0.1), and Grey's Anatomy (+0.1) adjusted up.
