After being off the air for nearly a year, CBS's 'Ransom' opened its second season with a 0.4 rating. Surprisingly, it was a tenth above its season 1 finale. The network rounded out the night with a repeat of 'NCIS' (0.4) and an original '48 Hours' (0.6).

NBC had repeats of 'Will & Grace' (0.3) and 'Superstore' (0.5). 'Dateline' (0.7) and 'SNL Vintage' (0.7) posted strong results. SNL did a 1.9 in 18-49 Top 25 with host Chadwick Boseman and musical guest Cardi B. This was a tick ahead of its last episode

ABC's NBA game (0.7) tied for the top program on primetime. It led out of a low-rated countdown special (0.4).

FOX had repeats of 'MasterChef Junior' (0.3) and 'Showtime at the Apollo' (0.3).
