Over ten years after its debut, Morning Joe is finally getting its own spinoff. Morning Mika, which will star Morning Joe's Mika Brzezinski, has been ordered by cable news network MSNBC. The series will air on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 12 PM, with MSNBC declaring the timeslot "technically still morning." Joe Scarborough, Brzezinski's Morning Joe co-anchor, is set to appear on the series as a contributor. Said Brzezinski, "I wanted to bring a fresh, creative series to the air that is basically just Morning Joe with me as the star." Brzezinski will remain with Morning Joe in addition to hosting Morning Mika. Morning Mika premieres on MSNBC April 1 with an April Fools special.
