BH9021: This was one of the more anticipated summer debuts this season, and it broke out in a big way for Fox with a 1.5 premiere. Any way you slice that, it's very strong for a late summer debut, especially with an incompatible 0.9 lead-in. However, and this is a big however, this is the type of show that is bound to significantly drop off in the coming weeks. With a premise that wasn't quite what some people seem to have expected, a revival/reboot aspect, and lukewarm reception, that 1.5 will get lower. How much lower is a huge question mark, but as of right now it's done more than enough for a renewal, especially since the cast seems interested. This is one I'll be keeping an eye on in coming weeks and I'll be providing frequent updates on it, but as of now, it starts in the LEANS RENEWAL category.
What Would You Do?: Despite having some of the worst treatment of any summer debut, this staple of the ABC schedule returned solid (for Friday standards) last week with a 0.5 out of a 0.3 from WE Day. This is in-line with last season's average and definitely enough for this dirt-cheap show to be renewed. It's a CERTAIN RENEWAL.
Hypnotize Me: I'm usually very positive about the fates of CW shows, given that the network loves renewing absolutely everything. That's an approach I'm taking with the other shows on the network that premiered this week, Bulletproof (which is already renewed in its home country) and Two Sentence Horror Stories. However, this game show is different. Hypnotize Me is another network's reject, originally ordered by Fox in 2016 (and presumably filmed then) before finally making it to the air on The CW this year. It didn't have an outstanding premiere at all, starting with a 0.1, now the average for The CW's summer programming outside of the Monday lineup. I highly doubt that this one sees another season given how long ago it was presumably filmed, and it seems that it was just picked up by CW because it was cheap to acquire and they wanted to bulk up their summer offerings. It's a LIKELY CANCELATION.
