Grand Hotel: I've been kind to this show by considering it as a contender for renewal all season, but nothing's really suggesting that anymore. ABC's not promoting it, its retention is terrible, and ABC President Karey Burke even admitted that its ratings have been disappointing. It's pretty clear that ABC's not too impressed with what they've seen from the show, and I don't see much of a chance for it to earn a renewal. It's being downgraded to a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
Holey Moley: I downgraded this show last week, and this week, I'm undoing that. Despite raised competition on NBC, the show ticked up to 0.7. That's obviously nothing huge, but it's very likely enough to justify another season of the show. It's not as strong as it once was, but it never needed to hold there to get renewed. The uptick is a positive sign for its future, and the show is once again a LIKELY RENEWAL.
Card Sharks: I didn't downgrade it last week because I wanted some more data on it, but ABC's new game show has become a noticable weak link. Match Game has beaten or tied it nearly every week since it's debut, and while that was okay when it was at 0.8, it's a different story at 0.5. I think it's slightly more likely than not that it'll earn another season since ABC has bigger flops in their summer lineup to axe, but at this point a cancellation wouldn't exactly be unjustified. It now LEANS RENEWAL.
