INT. CAR - DAY
Terri is in the passenger side of her mom’s car.
Michelle is driving the car.
Terri sighs with an annoyed disposition.
TERRI
Where exactly are we going?
MICHELLE
We are going to visit your sister, dear.
TERRI
(groggily)
Oh great. Just when I thought I had plans.
MICHELLE
Terri, you haven’t even seen your sister since the new semester started.
TERRI
Can’t she call first?
MICHELLE
She did. You were in your room asleep.
TERRI
Ugh, fine Mom. But just once.
EXT. UNIVERSITY PARKING LOT - DAY
The car parks into the parking lot of Brittney’s school dorm building.
Michelle and Terri get out of the car.
EXT. DORM BUILDING - DAY
Brittney exits the dorm building to meet up with Terri and Michelle.
Her eyes widen.
BRITTNEY
I was worried I wouldn’t be able to see you, Teresa.
TERRI
It’s Terri, sis. I thought I told you this.
She motions closer to Brittney as they walk towards campus.
EXT. NEIGHBORHOOD CUL-DE-SAC - DAY
An affluent neighborhood cul-de-sac of nice houses sits in the suburbs of Hartford, Connecticut.
People walk on sidewalks, checking mailboxes.
EXT. PARKER HOUSE - DAY
Katie’s house sits on the left hand side of the subdivision.
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
Back in the living room, Katie and Natasha sit together on the sofa.
Homework is piled on the coffee table.
Natasha turns to Katie.
NATASHA
What are we going to do now?
KATIE
Well, we can review some clues.
Katie stands up.
She points to the ceiling.
KATIE (CONT'D)
Cassidy brought us some incriminating information. About Abigail.
NATASHA
Like banker, like daughter.
KATIE
We need to look into some possible suspects. Is Abigail behind this possible money laundering scheme?
Katie turns her back to Natasha and puts her hand on her chin as if to think. Natasha’s eyes widen.
NATASHA
Are we going a little too far in scope? She may not be aware of this information.
KATIE
Come on, man. You can’t seriously be 100% taking her word for it.
NATASHA
We have circumstantial evidence.
Katie then turns around and sits back on the sofa.
INT. DORM COMMONS - EVENING
SUPER: HOURS LATER
Brittney and Terri sit in the commons area with Michelle.
BRITTNEY
She sounds pretty corrupt, Terri.
TERRI
Bankers.
BRITTNEY
I wouldn’t trust that principal either.
TERRI
He gets under my skin.
Brittney crosses her arms. Michelle turns to Terri.
MICHELLE
We’re proud of you Terri. Stand your ground, no matter what.
Brittney hugs Terri.
