Predict the Ratings for the Premieres of Magnum PI & Manifest

Tonight is the official start to the 2018-19 television season. With that comes the new broadcast shows, and tonight has two: CBS's Magnum, P.I. reboot, and NBC's sci-fi drama Manifest. Both series are being given some of the best lead-ins they can ask for, and have both received strong promotional pushes from their networks.

Magnum P.I., Mondays at 9 on CBS:
A reboot of the iconic Tom Selleck series of the same name, Magnum P.I. sees Bad Moms star Jay Hernandez take on the titular role. With a lead-in from Young Sheldon for its premiere, CBS is trying to make their premiere Monday a good one, holding off on unknown newbies The Neighborhood and Happy Together until next week. Will that pay off in Magnum's ratings tonight?

Manifest, Mondays at 10 on NBC:
The night's second new show is NBC science-fiction drama Manifest. One of the fall's buzzier shows (thanks in part to a 10-minute "sneak-peak" released earlier by NBC), The Voice will be serving as its lead-in, and it's one of the best lead-ins NBC can give to a new drama. This slot has been something of a cursed one recently: most shows to air there have flopped, and many were canceled after a single season. Can Manifest break that curse, or will it be grounded before it gets a second flight?
