FBI, Tuesdays at 9 PM on CBS:
The first premiere of the night is CBS's FBI. Hailing from NBC's super-creator Dick Wolf, the series is pretty self-explanatory. It focuses on FBI agents investigating various crimes. Missy Peregrym and Jeremy Sisto star in the series. CBS's first new show of the season, Magnum PI, had a rough start out of the gate. New Amsterdam, Tuesdays at 10 PM on NBC:
The later premiere of the night is New Amsterdam, starring familiar NBC face Ryan Eggold and Salem's Janet Montgomery. The series is a medical procedural that focuses on a medical director trying to reform a neglected hospital. With a This Is Us lead-in, the show is being given a fair chance at success.
