TV Ratings 8/10/17: SNL Weekend Update Starts Well, Night Shift, Wall, and Many Others Fall (UPDATED)

Due to heavy preemptions, everything adjusted down by a lot. I didn't provide my analysis earlier since there wasn't really anything to analyze, so I'll do it now. NBC's The Wall easily sand to a new series low, hitting a 0.7. SNL Weekend Update premiered for the Summer with a strong 1.2, easily topping everything but Big Brother last night. Behind it, a repeat of Great News did terribly as expected with a 0.5. And with Great News goes The Night Shift, which saw a new low of 0.5. On ABC, Boy Band was actually steady with last week, while The Story of Diana ran slightly ahead of last weeks BOTNS/Gong Show duo and was steady with Wednesday. Fox was also effected, with the recently-renewed Love Connection ticking down to a new low of 0.5. Beat Shazam was also down to a new low, receiving a 0.7. On CBS, Big Brother was steady week-to-week, though it was down from Sunday's episode. Zoo actually ticked up by two tenths, though the 0.6 is still really weak for the show. The CW's reality lineup was down a tenth, though the Whose Line? repeat actually was steady.
