Marlon: In its return on Thursday, Marlon drew a 0.7, easily a series low. This was also three tenths below its season one finale. In its second episode, it fell to a 0.6, which isn't great. These are pretty clear cancel numbers for most networks, considering that this is just the premiere and the show is very likely to fall lower than this. However, with an international Netflix deal that, as of writing this, has somehow kept Champions out of the garbage heap, plus the low standards in general for NBC comedy, Marlon isn't done yet. I still see it as an underdog, but it has a decent chance. For now, it LEANS CANCELLATION and we'll have to see where it ends up next week.
Reverie: I already spoke about Reverie's terrible ratings in the first edition of the Summer Renew/Cancel, and since then they've just gotten worse. It's hit a 0.5 for two weeks now, including dips to the dreaded 0.4 twice in its second half-hour. That's awful, and unrenewable, even for NBC. It's now a CERTAIN CANCELLATION.
What do you think of my predictions? What do you think will become of Marlon? Let me know in the comments and vote in the poll below.
