FADE IN:
INT. DR. DOE’S OFFICE - DAY
When we last saw Amanda, she was articulating about the storms in her dream. Picking up where
we left off, we will take you back to the session.

Amanda: A few months ago, I got laid off at the high school. I was also kicked out of the local
college’s education program at the masters level. I felt like life was spiraling out of control.
Jane Doe: Hmmm...there may also be something else. Do you feel like there may be something
that has caused the feeling of losing control?
Amanda: I guess you can say that. The way I have been feeling lately has been off balance. I’ve
always had a problem with someone taking away everything I have worked for.
Jane Doe: At some point or another, we all have. Now, before you go, I have to ask if you have
ever felt like harming yourself or others.
Amanda: No, that thought has never crossed my mind.
Jane Doe: Okay, well, you take care of yourself. Have a good day!
Amanda: You too!

As Amanda walks out the door, she is puzzled. How does the therapist know the situation? What is
lurking beyond that she does not know about? What is the therapist’s real name? We may be
looking at more questions as she returns home.

CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Amanda is asleep again, tossing and turning like never before. She is in distress. Another dream
shows up out of nowhere and so she narrates.

DREAM SEQUENCE

Amanda: Whoa, here comes another dream. This time I am on a backwoods country road. I am
driving. Sounds peaceful, right? Wrong! A storm comes brewing in and this time it is stronger
than the one I witnessed at the beach. Almost like hurricane force winds. Or maybe a tornado. I
lose control of my vehicle. Yet I am alive.

Amanda quickly gets out of the dream vehicle which has been flattened by the storm.

Amanda: I am unharmed, but the car is completely totaled. Yet the storm still rages on. I do not
understand why I am spared. This is weird, folks. Worse than the dream from last night. Why is this
happening to me? I don’t know.

Amanda runs, but trips and falls down the rabbit hole. An unknown predator sees her and laughs
the most sinister laugh.

Predator: Bwahahahahahahaha...you think you are going to get away from me, little girl?
Amanda: I’m not a little girl, you creep!
Predator: I have you in my midst. Young and meek enough to devour you. Do you think you can
ever escape me? Mwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM - EARLY MORNING
Amanda wakes up screaming for her dear life. Then the phone rings. Lo and behold, it’s Jane Doe.

Amanda: Hello? Jane, what do you want?

CUT TO:
INT. JANE DOE’S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS
Jane Doe: Did you have another dream last night, Amanda?

INTERCUT - PHONE CONVERSATION

Amanda: Yes, and this was more violent than the previous dream.
Jane Doe: Come to my office. Let’s have a talk.

CUT TO:
INT. JANE DOE’S OFFICE - AN HOUR LATER
Amanda is recalling her dream to Jane Doe.

Amanda: I was driving in my dream, then there comes this storm which was more powerful than
the storm in the previous dream. Then I fell into a deep pit, and out came this scary looking predatory
creature. He laughs this evil laugh and ugh, I can’t even say what happens next as I was going to be
eaten by it.
Jane Doe: Hmmm…

Jane Doe then gets up close to Amanda in a commanding presence.

Jane Doe: Who hurt you?
Amanda: Ummm…
Jane Doe: Answer me! Answer me now!
Amanda: A family member I lost contact with. I was molested as a child.
Jane Doe: This is another way trauma manifests itself. Did you report it?
Amanda: He was caught. Put in prison for a very long time. I will never get over that.
Jane Doe: You may have signs of PTSD.
Amanda: Well, how do you know?
Jane Doe: Post traumatic stress disorder manifests itself after a traumatic event.
Amanda: I need to know more about this before I go further.

Well, this episode was weird, but it does not stop here! Stay tuned next week when another dream
wreaks havoc into Amanda’s life.
