Take Two: There have been some signs of support for the show (such as its one-week-only move to 8), but for the most part, ABC hasn't seemed to care much for Take Two. However, it hasn't really done anything to deserve prime treatment by the network. It flopped in week one and has stayed just as big of a flop ever since, with it now averaging 0.4. It's impossible to spin that in a positive way. A few weeks ago, it seemingly hit a new high of 0.6 and I though maybe, just maybe, it was finally showing signs of life. However, that appears to have been an error, since it adjusted all the way down to a 0.4 in the weekly unrounded finals. It stayed there the next week, and it appears that 0.4s will be the norm from here on out. ABC also seems to have moved on to a different Summer project, with the straight-to-series order of Reef Break this past week. Things just get worse and worse for Take Two, and it's still a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
The Outpost: Despite flopping right out of the gate, I was pretty lenient of this show for awhile. First, it's on the CW. That means the standards for acceptable ratings in the Summer are incredibly low. Second, the shows seems pretty cheap, so The CW probably doesn't need to make that much money on it to cover the costs. All this meant that, while still an underdog, renewal wasn't out of the question. However, fellow CW series Burden of Truth, which is also doing horribly, seems to have an upper hand for renewal, considering that it's already renewed by its Canadian home network. I don't know if the CW will really want two shows on its lineup that are consistent 0.1 players, so I'm downgrading The Outpost to a LIKELY CANCELLATION. Maybe things will change for it, but it doesn't looke promising at the moment.
