In total, a whopping 166 million viewers followed the Grand Final where in the end, Austria's JJ clinched the victory with his song "Wasted Love". That marks a 4-year viewership high with this being the most watched show since 2021 (183 million), improving on 2022 (161 million), 2023 (162 million) and 2024 (163 million).
We'll cover the ratings by country with the information we currently have on hand and compared, when possible, to previous years ratings. Not all broadcasters release their viewership numbers but we compiled a big chunk of the information we could find and will update the post if any major updates happen.
Italy
4,756,000 viewers (34,0% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. Viewership was down from last year's 5,341,000 viewers (36.0% share).
Final Placement: Italy finished in 5th place with 256 points (159 from the juries + 97 from the public).
Fun Fact: It's the 8th final in a row where Italy has placed in the Top 10 and the 6th time Italy has finished in the Top 5 in the last 10 years.
Germany
Over 9 million viewers (64,3% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. It was the most watched final since 2016 with an increase of 1,180,000 viewers compared to last year's Grand Final.
Final Placement: Germany finished in 15th place with 151 points (77 from the juries + 74 from the public).
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, this was only the 3rd time Germany was not in the bottom 2 of the Grand Final. The results from 2024 (12th place) and 2025 (15th place) mark the country's best streak since 2011 (10th place) and 2012 (8th place).
France
5.284.000 viewers (40,0% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. Audience slighly fell compared to 2024 where 5.400.000 viewers (36,8% share) saw the Grand Final.
Final Placement: France finished in 7th place with 230 points (180 from the juries + 50 from the public).
Fun Fact: It's the 3rd time since 2021 that France has finished in the Top 10. It's the best result for a solo French female artist since 2021's Barbara Pravi.
United Kingdom
An average 6,700,000 viewers saw the 2025 Grand Final. Audience fell compared to 2024 where 7,600,000 viewers saw the Grand Final and to 2023 which got an average of 11,000,000 viewers.
Final Placement: United Kingdom finished in 19th place with 88 points (88 from the juries + 0 from the public).
Fun Fact: It's the 2nd year in a row where the United Kingdom received 0 points from the public vote. However, it's the 2nd best jury score the UK got since 2018, only beaten by 2022's Sam Ryder which got 283 points from the juries.
Spain
An average 5,884,000 viewers saw the 2025 Grand Final. Audience went up compared to 2024 where around 5,000,000 viewers saw the Grand Final.
Final Placement: Spain finished in 24th place with 37 points (27 from the juries + 10 from the public).
Fun Fact: Spain only has finished above 20th two times in the last 10 years, with 2022's Chanel (which finished 3rd) and 2023's Blanca Paloma (which finished 17th). All the other 8 participants since 2015 finished below 20th.
Greece
An average 2,755,000 viewers (70,8% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. It was the most watched Grand Final in 15 years. Around 4,755,000 viewers watched at least one minute of the Grand Final and the audience share hit a peak of 89,5%.
Final Placement: Greece finished in 6th place with 231 points (105 from the juries + 126 from the public).
Fun Fact: This marked Greece's best results since 2013, where they also placed 6th place. In the last 10 years, this was only the 2nd time Greece has finished in the Top 10.
Portugal
An average 886,000 viewers (20,5% viewing share / 8,8% audience share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. The peak share occurred at the end of televoting with 29,7% (950,000 viewers), whereas NAPA's performance saw the peak audience of 1,299,000 viewers. Compared to last year, the numbers were down as 2024's Grand Final was seen by 924,000 (21,9% viewing share / 9,6% audience share).
Final Placement: Portugal finished in 21th place with 50 points (37 from the juries + 13 from the public).
Fun Fact: For the first time since Eurovision introduced Semi-Finals in 2004, Portugal reached a 5th consecutive final (2021 through 2025). In these 5 consecutive finals, Portugal has achieved two Top 10 finishes (2022's Maro who finished 9th and 2024's Iolanda who finished 10th) and one Top 15 finish (2021's The Black Mamba who finished 12th). In the last 10 years, Portugal has been in the final seven times, only failing to qualify in 2015 and 2019 (Portugal didn't participate in Eurovision 2016), and in 2017 won the contest for the first time with a record breaking 758 points, the highest any country has ever achieved.
Australia
An average 284,000 viewers saw the 2025 Grand Final live with 169,000 viewers watching the repeat that aired in prime time* for a total of 453,000 viewers. Compared to 2024, the live show was up by 75,000 viewers while the prime time encore of the show was down by 57,000 viewers.
*Due to time difference, Australia airs the live shows very early in the morning so they repeat the shows at night again for those who didn't see the live shows.
Final Placement: Australia didn't qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 11th place in Semi-Final 2 with 41 points, missing the Grand Final by 10 points.
Fun Fact: Since joining the contest in 2015, this was the 3rd time Australia failed to qualify to the Grand Final. After appearing in 5 finals in a row (2015-2019), Australia has only qualified twice (2022 and 2023) since the show returned from it's COVID induced break in 2020. In two of the three non-qualifications, Australia placed 11th in their respective semi-final meaning they just barely didn't qualify.
Finland
An average 1,644,000 viewers saw the 2025 Grand Final. Compared to 2024, the show was up by 45%, with an additional 515,000 viewers watching the 2025 final.
Final Placement: Finland finished in 11th place with 196 points (88 from the juries + 108 from the public).
Fun Fact: This marked the fifth consecutive final for Finland (2021-2025), the first time the country achieved a 5-year qualification streak since the introduction of the semi-finals in 2004. In these 5 consecutive finals, Finland has achieved two Top 10 finishes (2021's Blind Channel who finished 6th and 2023's Kaarija who finished 2nd) and one Top 15 finish (2025's Erika Vikman who finished 11th). In the last 10 years, Finland has been in the final six times, failing to qualify three years in a row (2015 to 2017) and in 2019.
Norway
An average 844,000 viewers (819,000 viewers on NRK 1 + 25,000 viewers on NRK Online) saw the 2025 Grand Final and 1,645,000 viewers watched at least one minute of the Grand Final. The peak was of 950,000 viewers when Norway's Kyle Alessandro opened the final. Compared to 2024, the show was down by 40,000 viewers.
Final Placement: Norway finished in 18th place with 89 points (22 from the juries + 67 from the public).
Fun Fact: This marked the 8th final in a row for Norway. Since the introduction of the semi-finals in 2004, Norway has only missed the final 3 times. In the last 10 years, Norway qualified 9 out of 10 times for the Grand Final, only having missed the big show in 2016, and during that time has achieved four Top 10 finishes (2015, 2017, 2019 and 2023). Their best result in the last ten years came in 2023 when Alessandra came in 5th place with her song "Queen of Kings".
Ireland
An average 268,000 viewers (30,0% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. Compared to 2024, the show was down by nearly 60%, with around 398,000 viewers less than last year.
Final Placement: Ireland didn't qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 13th place in Semi-Final 2 with 29 points.
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, Ireland has failed to qualify to the Grand Final a total of eight times, only managing to reach the big show in 2018 and 2024. Their best result since 2000 was last year's Bambie Thug, who placed in 6th place with 278 points. Despite all that, Ireland is still tied with Sweden as the country with the most wins ever at Eurovision (7 times).
Poland
An average 3,350,000 viewers (36,6% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final on TVP 1. In addition, an average 630,000 viewers saw the final on TVP Polonia (the international Polish network), giving a total average of 3,980,000 viewers (43,5% share) across the two channels. The peak of the broadcast came during the performance of the Polish act where 5,600,000 viewers were tuned in to the Grand Final across both networks. Compared to 2024, the show was up by nearly 2,400,000 viewers.
Final Placement: Poland finished in 14th place with 156 points (17 from the juries + 139 from the public).
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, Poland has qualified to the Grand Final six times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2022, 2023 and 2025). Their best result in the last decade came in 2016 when Michal Szpak came in 8th place with his song "Color of Your Life".
Slovenia
An average 150,000 viewers (7,8% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final. The number of viewers was down by nearly 45% in comparison with the 2024 Grand Final.
Final Placement: Slovenia didn't qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 13th place in Semi-Final 1 with 23 points.
Fun Fact: Since 2012, Slovenia has been on a trend of 2 consecutive non-qualifications (2012/2013; 2016/2017; 2021/2022) followed by 2 consecutive qualifications (2014/2015; 2018/2019; 2023/2024). We'll see if Slovenia can break the trend next year.
Belgium
952,634 viewers saw the 2025 Grand Final on La Une (289,623 viewers) and Een (663,011 viewers). It was the least watched final since 2014.
Final Placement: Belgium didn't qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 14th place in Semi-Final 1 with 23 points.
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, Belgium has qualified to the final six times. In the last two years, prior to the show, both entries were highly ranked on the betting odds to win the contest but despite that, they both failed to qualify to the Grand Final. Their best result in the last decade came in 2017, where City Lights both placed in 4th place with 363 points.
Sweden
An average 2,577,000 viewers saw this year's Grand Final, where Sweden headed into the show as the favourites to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. That's a 267,000 viewers increase compared to the 2024 final, which was hosted by Sweden.
Final Placement: Sweden finished in 4th place with 321 points (126 from the juries + 195 from the public).
Fun Fact: Since the introduction of the semi-finals in 2004, Sweden has only failed to qualify once, in 2010. Since then, they've been on a 14-year run of consecutive finals, having won the contest 3 times in that time. Besides the three wins, Sweden has finished in the Top 5 a total of 9 times since 2004.
Ukraine
Final Placement: Ukraine finished in 9th place with 218 points (60 from the juries + 158 from the public).
Fun Fact: Ukraine holds the record for having the highest qualification streak (19 times), meaning they never failed to qualify when they participated at Eurovision. The only other country that holds a similar record is Luxembourg, who also never failed to qualify to the final, however, Luxembourg has only participated in two editions (2024-2025) since the semi-final format was introduced. Since 2021, Ukraine has always been in the Top 10, having won the contest in 2022 when Kalush Orchestra performed with their song "Stefania".
Switzerland
880,000 viewers (57,5% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final hosted in Switzerland. Compared to 2024, the viewership is up 200,000 viewers.
Final Placement: Switzerland finished in 10th place with 214 points (214 from the juries + 0 from the public).
Fun Fact: Switzerland is currently on a 6-year streak of consecutive finals, their longest streak since 2004 when the semi-finals were introduced. In the last six years, they won the contest with 2024's The Code performed by Nemo and have placed on the Top 10 three more times.
Czechia
An average 173,000 viewers (9,7% share) saw the 2025 Grand Final on CT1. It was the 2nd most watched final of the past five years, having improved a total of 50,000 viewers compared to 2024.
Final Placement: Czechia didn't qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 12th place in Semi-Final 2 with 29 points.
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, Czechia has qualified to the final five times. Their best result of the last decade was back in 2018 when Mikolas Josef finished in 6th place with his "Lie to Me" song. Since then, Czechia only managed to return once to the Top 10 (2023's Vesna who finished in 10th place).
Denmark
794,000 viewers saw the 2025 Grand Final hosted in Switzerland. It was Denmark's most watched final since 2019, which saw 1,100,000 viewers.
Final Placement: Denmark finished in 23rd place with 47 points (45 from the juries + 2 from the public).
Fun Fact: This year, Denmark broke their 4-year non qualification streak which started back in 2021. It's only their 4th qualification of the last 10 years. Their best result came in 2018, when Rasmussen finished in 9th place with 226 points.
Estonia
Final Placement: Estonia finished in 3rd place with 356 points (98 from the juries + 258 from the public).
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, Estonia has qualified to the final a total of 7 times. Their last non-qualification came in 2021 and since then, Estonia is on a 4-year consecutive run of Grand Finals. This year represented Estonia's best result since 2002.
Iceland
An average 159,980 viewers saw this year's Grand Final. It's their most watched final since 2019 and an increase of 48,000 viewers compared to 2024.
Final Placement: Iceland finished in 25th place with 33 points (0 from the juries + 33 from the public).
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, Iceland has qualified to the final a total of 4 times. This year marked the end of their 2-year non qualification streak which started 2023. Their best result of the last decade came in 2021 when Iceland finished in 4th place with 378 points.
Netherlands
An average 3,590,000 viewers saw this year's Grand Final on NPO 1. The audience is the highest since 2021, and up 500,000 viewers from 2023 when the Netherlands last competed in the final.
Final Placement: Netherlands finished in 12th place with 176 points (133 from the juries + 42 from the public).
Fun Fact: In the last 10 years, the Netherlands has qualified to the final a total of 8 times. Despite qualifying in 2024, Joost Klein was disqualified due to a reported backstage incident with a production member. In the end, the Dutch representative was cleared of any wrongdoing. The Netherlands's best result came in 2019 when they won the contest with Duncan Laurence and his song "Arcade" which became a global hit.
Serbia
Final Placement: Serbia didn't qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 14th place in Semi-Final 2 with 28 points.

Lithuania
Final Placement: Lithuania finished in 16th place with 96 points (34 from the juries + 62 from the public).
