Eurovision 2025: Semi-Final Ratings Breakdown

Eurovision 2025 has come and gone and now it's time to start analyzing the ratings of both semi-finals.

For context, this year we're doing this pilot project to see what's the interest in Eurovision related topics. Depending on demand, we might consider a bigger Eurovision coverage for next year's edition.

We'll cover the ratings by country with the information we currently have on hand. Not all broadcasters release their viewership numbers but we compiled a big chunk of the information we could find and will update the post if any major updates happen

Germany

Semi-Final 1: 670,000 viewers (3.4% share) down from last year's 680,000 viewers (3.6% share);
Semi-Final 2*: 860,000 viewers (4.7% share) up from last year's 660,000 viewers (3.0% share);

Netherlands

Semi-Final 1: 1.9 million watched Semi-Final 1 with a peak of 2.3 million watching at least one minute of the broadcast. Overall, viewership was majorly down as last year, nearly 3 million people watched the Netherlands perform in Semi-Final 2;
