American Crime Canceled by ABC

ABC has canceled two-time Emmy-nominated anthology series American Crime after three seasons. The series has never been high-rated, but it fell to a low of 0.3 in its Sundays at 10:00 timeslot this season.

TV Ratings 4/23/17: 8 PM Bob's Burgers Rises, New Low for Last Man (UPDATED)

Sunday night was almost completely filled with originals, with only Family Guy off for the night. The night wasn't too kind to CBS, but ABC had a mostly strong night. America's Funniest Home Videos was up three tenths after a week off, and Once Upon a Time and Match Game were both up a tenth. American Crime was down, however, so ABC's night wasn't all good. Each CBS show dipped a tenth, with NCIS: Los Angeles as the strongest show of the CBS bunch. NBC's Little Big Shots returned after taking Easter off, and it was down a tenth. The stronger lead-in allowed for Chicago Justice to return to its typical 1.0 delivery. Fox had a mixed mag of a night, with a special 8 PM Bob's Burger up two tenths from the 7:30 airing, but the Last Man on Earth ticked down to a new low. Right behind Bob's, Making History was steady at a 0.6.

TV Ratings 4/16/17: Bee Gees Special Dominates Easter Sunday (UPDATED)

Sunday night was Easter, but it didn't drag any of the original programs down too much. On ABC, Once Upon a Time avoided a new low, though lead-out Match Game did tie a low. American Crime stayed at the horrific (but not series low) 0.4 from last week. Little big Shots took the week off, with Chicago Justice and Shades of Blue having to air with little help. They did well, with Justice down a tenth and Shades steady. CBS was the clear winner on Easter Sunday, with their Bee Gees special destroying most of the competition and up three tenths from the closest competition. Its lead in was 60 Minutes, which was down 7 tenths without the Masters to boost it. Elementary closed out the night for CBS, and it wasn't helped at all by a larger lead in. Fox was still in repeat mode, and it showed, with low numbers all night long.

TV Ratings 4/9/17: Match Game Improves, Once Upon a Time Does Not (UPDATED)

Sunday night saw some new lows for some shows, but the news wasn't all bad for the networks. ABC's Match Game was up a tenth in its second week back, though its lead-in Once Upon a Time dipped to a new series low. Also slipping was America's Funniest Home Videos, which returned from hiatus tying its season low. American Crime stayed steady with a 0.4. NBC was completely steady all night, though Little Big Shots was up from last week's prelims. Fox was in repeats, but repeats of The Simpsons and Making History were barely down or steady with last week's originals. CBS faltered without help from NCAA. Madam Secretary and NCIS: LA were both down about a half of a point, though 60 Minutes was up a bit with some help from the Masters.
