Scorpion Canceled After Four Seasons

Scorpion, a veteran member of the CBS schedule, has aired its final episode. CBS has canceled the series today. Scorpion has been plagued by reports of a syndication struggle, and was left out of the annual CBS mass renewal. This caused for some panic aout the future of the show, and it seems that that panic was valid. Also contributing to the decision was the show's huge 32% drop from season three. This means that the show will end just seven episodes shy of 100 episodes. Scorpion starred Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, and Jadyn Wong, among others.

Monday TV Ratings 3/5/18: Living Biblically & Good Girls Hold Up Well, iZombie Ties Low (UPDATED)

Monday was the second Monday since the Olympics, and it was a down night for most networks. The only exception to that statement is ABC, which soared with a three-hour finale of The Bachelor, at 2.2. That's the highest-rated episode of the season by far, though it's still well off from the year-ago finale. It's still a nice end to a disappointing season, which was about 25% below the previous season. The big winner of the night, however, was NBC's The Voice, which drew a strong 2.4, down four tenths from the Tuesday premiere. Despite the drop, that is still a hugely impressive number for the reality juggernaut. Behind it was Good Girls, which ticked down two tenths to a 1.3. It isn't setting the world on fire, but it's still doing pretty decently. Its retention from the Voice could certainly be better, but it looks better than episode two of The Brave on both counts. CBS's Monday lineup continued to struggle, but for the most part, it held steady. The only difference here is Living Biblically, which was down a tenth in week two. For a new show, that's a pretty decent hold, but considering that it got off to such a terrible start, this number still isn't pretty. Fox also saw a 0.7 for one of its series, with Lucifer ticking down to tie its low point from earlier this year. Behind it, The Resident ticked up to 0.9. iZombie on The CW tied its series low of 0.2, and is already proving to be just as strong as freshman flop Valor.

Finals Update: The Voice (+0.1) and Superior Donuts (+0.1) adjusted up.
