The CW has announced that Frequency will not be getting a second season on the CW. No surprise, the show was getting low ratings throughout its run, and it was capped at 13 episodes after airing. Here are its ratings:

TV Ratings 1/25/17: Frequency Ends Higher, Hunted Struggles in Time Slot Premiere, Trump Interview Leads (UPDATED)

ABC and NBC took Wednesday night off, airing repeats of their shows (minus Blindspot, which was replaced by SVU, and Match Game, which was replaced by a Trump special). ABC's Trump interview special pulled in a 1.7, way up from last week's Trump-themed 20/20. On CBS, Hunted aired its time-slot premiere, and pulled in a 1.4, down a whole lot from its NFL boosted special premiere and down a lot from the premiere of Survivor this fall. It was, however, an improvement on Undercover Boss's results this season. Code Black aired behind it, and it stayed even. On the CW, Frequency aired its final chapter of the season (and maybe ever), and the episode was up from last week. Its lead-in, Arrow, was down from 2016, just like the rest of the CW's superhero shows. On Fox, Lethal Weapon and Star were both even week to week.

Finals Update: Hunted (-0.1) adjusted down. Repeats of SVU (both +0.1) and a repeat of Modern Family (+0.1) adjusted up.

CW: How the New Shows Are Holding Up (Or Not)

The Ratings Junkie Saturday, November 26, 2016
The CW only premiered two new shows this fall, and despite getting to air in some of the best spots they have to offer, neither received a full backorder and their chances for renewal seem slim. So, let's take a look at how exactly they're doing.

No Tomorrow
No Tomorrow is a CBS-produced dramedy that airs after a Warner Brothers-produced superhero show. The lack of compatibility shows; No Tomorrow is barely doing better than what Crazy Ex-Girlfriend did in a worse time slot, and this one isn't getting any award nominations. It's getting replaced by Legends of Tomorrow, which is changing time slots, followed by iZombie in the late spring.

Frequency
Frequency at least is a sci-fi show, a little bit more compatible than No Tomorrow is with The Flash, and based off of a movie. That hasn't stopped it from doing poorly, though, and it truly is underwhelming behind Arrow. The 100 will come midseason.
