On NBC, the gap between the swimming (0.45) and track & field (0.71) portions of the US Olympic Trials widened, while the diving trials (0.25) underwhelmed in the 7 p.m. hour. On ABC, a showing of the 2009 animated film Up (0.21) declined significantly from the repeats of AFHV (0.42/0.36) that aired before it. CBS aired reruns of 60 Minutes (0.27/0.27) and Elsbeth (0.12/0.12). Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (0.05) was passable by CW standards but lost to encores of The Conners (0.06/0.06).
