The Gifted Canceled by Fox

Fox has canceled second-season drama series The Gifted, following a season full of low ratings. The series was one of the lowest-rated on drama and said farewell this February with a series low of 0.4. Sporting a 0.59 average, the show collapsed 42% this season after an already somewhat-questionable renewal last season. The show was never expected to return, given Fox's transitionary period that will likely see an decrease in scripted programming. The show starred Amy Acker, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Stephen Moyer, and was based on Marvel's X-Men comics. Along with Rel, this is the first scripted cancellation on broadcast in 2019, and Gifted is the first veteran cancellation after Midnight Texas in late 2018. This was a correct prediction for the TV Ratings Guide.
