Tuesday TV Ratings 2/20/24: The Rookie Returns Heavily Down, Will Trent Sees Minimal Boost in New Time Slot, Quantum Leap Ends Steady (UPDATED w/Analysis)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's Will Trent (0.33) took advantage of the move from 10 p.m. to 8 p.m. and returned a good bit higher than its spring 2023 showings for its season two premiere. The Rookie (0.38) built on Trent but was noticeably down in its move from 8 to 9. But the news was much worse at 10 as The Good Doctor (0.26) began its final season with a rating that was just a hundredth higher than its previously-set series low. On CBS, FBI (0.50, -0.07), FBI: International (0.38, -0.06), and FBI: Most Wanted (0.37, -0.05) dealt with the usual post-premiere declines. NBC's Quantum Leap (0.19/0.18) was roughly on-par with last week for its finale. Extended Family (0.23, 0.00) held even, while Night Court (0.29, -0.01) shed a hundredth. Celebrity Name That Tune (0.25, -0.01) and The Floor (0.41, -0.01) were both down by the same amount on Fox, with Tune wrapping up its season altogether. The CW aired the series premiere of Crime Nation (0.07) and nothing else.

Finals Update: The Rookie (+0.1) and The Good Doctor (+0.1) adjusted up.
