Ratings Analysis: After being absent for nearly two years, ABC's 'Live in Front of A Studio Audience' (0.96) took on classic sitcoms 'The Facts of Life' and 'Diff'rent Strokes', delivering strong ratings in the process. Not only was this broadcast the highest-rated offering of the night but it was also just two-tenths below the previous edition from 2019 (1.2). The alphabet network used that sizable lead-in to boost the series premiere of new sitcom 'Abbot Elementary' (0.63). While there's no apples-to-apples comparison that can made, 'Abbot' was just a bit below the start of 'The Wonder Years' (0.67) and well above the spring debut of 'Home Economics' (0.56). Though this is a rather solid debut for the comedy, 'Abbot Elementary' will not be back in session until January 4th, meaning much of its viewer base may lose interest or forget about it by the time it returns. At 10, 'Queens' (0.34, +0.08) shot up to its highest rating since the premiere. On the NBC front, 'The Voice' (0.74, +0.01) picked up a hundredth and was followed by a passable broadcast of the 'People's Choice Awards' (0.59). 'FBI' (0.62, -0.05) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.50, -0.03) both fell short of their previous episodes on CBS. Airing in-between those two, 'FBI: International' (0.54, +0.06) rose by six-hundredths. On Fox, 'The Resident' (0.40, -0.09) and 'Our Kind of People' (0.22, -0.12) completely crumbled for their winter finales, with 'People' crashing to its lowest recorded rating. 'The Flash' (0.17, +0.01) and 'Riverdale' (0.07, +0.01) were each up by a hundredth on the CW.
