The Automobiles are in the dugout.

And just like that, the last game of the season has just ended.
LANDON
I’m proud of me.
GARRY
Good. You should all be proud of yourselves.
COOPER
Are you proud of us, Coach Garry?
GARRY
Of course! You’ve come a long way.
GAVIN
Have we?
GARRY
Sure! You know, when you guys first came together as a team, I wasn’t sure if you would win any games.
HUDSON
I specifically remember you saying at our first game that you could show us how to win a bunch of games.
GARRY
I don’t believe you have any proof of that.
JAXON
My mom tapes some of the games, maybe she can figure it out.
SANTIAGO
Yeah, you do yell pretty loudly sometimes so I wouldn’t be surprised if her camera picked it up.
GARRY
I barely ever talk loud.
COLTON
Loud enough so we can hear you.
GARRY
Oh and that’s too loud?
COLTON
No.
BRAYDEN
Nobody ever said anything about it being too loud.
GARRY
Oh. So anyways, today’s the last game of the season and I’m proud of us for winning.
LANDON
Inspiring.
WESLEY
Also, we lost.
GARRY
We did?
SANTIAGO
Yeah, by five runs.
GARRY
I know this looks bad but I promise I’m just as invested now as I was when I took this job.
COOPER
I’m confused, are you saying you’re invested or not?
GARRY
Yes! Although I swear we didn’t even give up any runs.
HUDSON
Maybe you shouldn’t have taken a bathroom break then.
GARRY
What can I say. I guess the lesson here is this team crumbles without Coach Garry.
COOPER
Whatever you say.
JAXON
Hey Coach Garry, what’s going to happen to us next year?
GARRY
I have no idea, I’m not a fortune teller.
JAXON
I mean with baseball.
GARRY
Oh. Easy. I hope you all stay on the team next year. I’d say we won enough games to be considered good. Plus, you all have at least one more year left before you age out of the league.
HUDSON
I don’t know if my mom will let me play.
GARRY
How about this: Christmas party at my place, players and parents all invited.
LANDON
Sounds terrible.
GARRY
Then don’t come. But it’s on me as a way to celebrate the season. Also there’s supposed to be a softball game here soon and I don’t believe any of us are players or coaches in that so it’s time for us to leave.
