The group eats breakfast at the table. Brittaney gets up and kisses Edison on the cheek.

Brittaney waves goodbye to the rest of the group and leaves.
EDISON

The group nods.
Edison pulls out his mother’s engagement ring.
SARAH
Oh my gosh! Edison, are you-
EDISON
Going to ask Britt to marry me? Yes.
SARAH
Are you sure about this?
EDISON
I’ve been sure since I first met her.
ANDREW
Congrats man.
EDISON
Thank you. It’s nice to know SOMEONE is supportive.
MEGAN
Hey man, I support you.
EDISON
Your support was never in doubt.
PAIGE
So how are you going to do it. Restaurant? Under the starry night sky? Ooh, how about in the middle of a lake on a canoe?
EDISON
No, no, and no.
PAIGE
You know, it’s times like these that make me glad we broke up.
MEGAN
So how are you going to do it?
EDISON
I’m just gonna ask her. After she gets back from class.
SARAH
Just going to ask her. Edison, you can’t just ask a woman to marry you. You need to make it a special moment.
EDISON
Sarah, with all due respect She and I are going to be parents in a couple of months, I don’t think we can get any more special.
ANDREW
I gotta agree with them buddy. Yes, your circumstances are unusual but this is it. This makes what you two have even more real.
EDISON

PAIGE

SARAH

EDISON

MEGAN
You could fake your death and then surprise her.

Edison gets up and then gets down on one knee.

Pulls out the ring.
