The Good Doctor Ending After Seven Seasons

Yet another long-running broadcast series is heading for the exits, as ABC has announced that medical drama The Good Doctor will wrap its run after its upcoming seventh season. The series debuted as a massive hit back in 2017, but it cooled off in following seasons, though it always remained a strong 10 PM player for ABC as it capped off Monday night's for them. This season, though, the show will shift to Tuesday nights for what will now be its final run of episodes, airing in what has long been a troublesome time slot for ABC: Tuesdays at 10. It's the second long-running ABC drama confirmed to be ending this season, after Station 19, in a season that has seen veteran shows from all of the big three networks get the axe even before their seasons began. A coproduction between ABC and Sony, The Good Doctor ended last season as ABC's #4 drama and #1 10 PM series. Freddie Highmore, Richard Schiff, Will Run Lee, Fiona Gubelmann, Christina Chang and Paige Spara star in the series.
