Monday TV Ratings 12/11/23: Big Brother Reindeer Games Has Mediocre Start, A Very Barry Christmas Low, MasterChef Junior: Home for the Holidays Slides (UPDATED w/Analysis)

Ratings Analysis: Though the Big Brother franchise is usually a force to be reckoned with, spin-off series Big Brother Reindeer Games (0.26) had a rather soft launch on CBS. Reindeer Games fell short of its Price Is Right At Night lead-in (0.31, -0.03) and came nowhere near the level of its parent show. While not a complete dud, this one goes down as a clear disappointment. The Voice (0.50, -0.03) slipped on NBC and led into low-rated special A Very Barry Christmas (0.22). On Fox, MasterChef Junior: Home For the Holidays (0.17, -0.08) declined from Sunday's broadcast. The Packers faced off against the Giants, but ABC was the real winner as they got a strong 2.37 rating out of this NFL telecast. The CW re-ran Penn & Teller: Fool Us (0.04) and Masters of Illusion (0.04).
