FADE IN:
EXT. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - DAY
An urban area is situated in Staten Island in the middle of New York City.
EXT. NETWORK HEADQUARTERS - DAY
Network headquarters is situated in the heart of the city, where traffic is buzzing in the afternoon sky.
INT. BUSINESS HALLWAY - DAY
Jesse walks along the hallway. Suddenly, he pauses.
He then stops by Kasey’s office.
He sighs. Then he opens the door.
INT. KASEY’S OFFICE - DAY
The door opens, and Kasey jumps up.
Jesse enters.
Kasey crosses her arms.
KASEY
What do you want, Jesse?
JESSE
I want an explanation. Why are you acting so out of character?
KASEY
I really don’t want to talk about this right now.
Kasey then paces herself out of the office.
Jesse looks behind.
INT. BUSINESS HALLWAY - DAY
Kasey walks along the hallway, as if she is going to the conference room.
Jesse then follows by.
JESSE
I don’t see any reason to avoid having a conversation.
Kasey turns around, infuriated.
KASEY
What’s it to you? Why are you concerned with what I’m doing?
OTHER SIDE OF THE HALLWAY
Charlie and Holly walk side by side.
HOLLY
So, we saw many people cosplaying as superheroes. We also got to see many different panels. That was interesting.
CHARLIE
I wonder if any of these sci-fi writers would get a show to this network.
HOLLY
Ash would think this is a great idea.
They both paused.
BACK TO THE MAIN HALLWAY.
Holly and Charlie pause as they see Kasey and Jesse argue.
HOLLY (CONT'D)
Wait a minute. We have drama.
CHARLIE
What’s the meaning of this?
Kasey turns and walks over to Charlie.
KASEY
I’m breaking up with him, Charlie.
JESSE
Breaking up? You didn’t say anything about breaking up.
CHARLIE
I knew your relationship was on shaky ground, but I did not see this coming.
HOLLY
Okay, time to diffuse the situation. Jesse, why don’t you go back to the office? I’ll handle this.
Jesse sulks and exits the scene.
Holly walks over to Kasey.
Kasey angrily turns to Charlie.
KASEY
He was sitting next to you during Holly and Matt’s wedding. You have no room to comment on this.
CHARLIE
He was sitting behind Leah and Ash. You could have joined him.
HOLLY
Ladies, please be professional. We don’t need another catfight in this office.
CHARLIE
We’ve all had our share of catfights in network headquarters, officer.
As we leave this episode behind, next week’s episode is a big one.
