Less than an hour after the cancellation of fellow third-season NBC sitcom Night Court, the axe has also fallen on Lopez vs Lopez. George Lopez's latest foray into television has been canceled after three seasons, following a short third season that wrapped on February 7. The series was the lowest-rated of four NBC sitcoms this season, with a 0.20 average, holding a bit over two-thirds of its Happy's Place lead-in. The writing seemed to be on the wall earlier this season when the network declined to order more episodes while handing a five-episode backorder to Happy's Place, leaving that show to air the last five episodes of the season on its own, rather than with a fellow sitcom following it at 8:30. Lopez vs Lopez ran for forty-five episodes over its three-season run, starring George Lopez and his daughter Mayan, as well as Matt Shively, Selenis Leyva, Al Madrigal and Brice Gonzalez. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
