Tuesday TV Ratings 11/5/24: Fox News Dominates Election Night Coverage, as Ratings Slide from 2020 [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: Amongst the major broadcast networks, it was ABC's election night coverage (1.44) that took the lead. NBC (1.38) was right behind the Alphabet Network, but CBS (0.81) and Fox (0.49) were well below their peers. The CW's coverage (0.03) fell even below Newsmax's (0.08). On cable, Fox News (1.93) comfortably outpaced CNN (1.35) and MSNBC (1.17).

Tuesday TV Ratings 3/5/24: Pitiful Returns for The Cleaning Lady and Alert, The Voice and The Rookie Slide, Minimal Interest in Super Tuesday Coverage (UPDATED w/Analysis)

Ratings Analysis: It was a disastrous premiere night on Fox as The Cleaning Lady (0.20) and Alert: Missing Persons Unit (0.18) both crashed to new series lows in their returns. These two were always going to be a weaker option than The Floor, but they were even a notch below the modest Celebrity Name That Tune. On NBC, Night Court (0.33, +0.04) and Extended Family (0.25, +0.02) were on the rise, but The Voice (0.32, -0.09) went well below last Tuesday's installment. Will Trent (0.36, -0.02) and The Rookie (0.31, -0.05) declined on ABC, with Rookie taking the bigger hit. CBS aired drama reruns (0.28/0.24), while The CW's Crime Nation (0.04, -0.02) dipped. There was little interest in 10 p.m. hour coverage of Super Tuesday, but NBC (0.21) slipped ahead of ABC (0.20) and CBS (0.17) in the key demo.
