Alright everyone, I’m sure you know why I called this meeting.
TREVOR
RSN+?
BENNY
Not quite. Not yet. We need to figure out why our ratings are down at RSN Los Angeles. And no, it’s not because of the baseball playoffs.
TREVOR
Oh good. Because RSN+ is a DISASTER.
NICOLE INTERVIEW
It’s because of the playoffs. And basketball and hockey haven't started yet. This is just that time of year where RSN Los Angeles doesn't really have a whole lot airing on it.
SASHA
Could the ratings decline be because of the weather?
BENNY
No, that's not it, it's beautiful in California.
SASHA
That's what I'm saying. Nobody wants to watch our filler because of the weather.
BENNY
I wouldn't call Bad At Badminton filler now, would you?
SASHA looks down at the ground.
SASHA INTERVIEW
It's the epitome of filler.
KYLIE
Don't we have anything more pressing to focus on? Like how all our other stations combined still don't add up to LA's ratings?
NICOLE
We get it Kylie, LA's ratings are the best.
TREVOR
Is nobody hearing me saying that RSN+ is a disaster?
BENNY
Trevor, we don't have any time, money, or energy to fix something that none of our customers are subscribing to anyway.
TREVOR
They're not subscribing to it because it's a terrible product. Half the time when you open the app, it crashes.
BENNY
And what does that have to do with Bad At Badminton's ratings?
TREVOR
It has a lot to do with its streaming numbers.
BENNY
Go on...
TREVOR
You see, without RSN+ fully functional, Bad At Badminton is losing out on tens of viewers.
KYLIE
Benny, this is obvious, we don't have the rights to any playoff baseball games, basketball and hockey seasons haven't started up yet, of course LA's ratings are down. They'll go back up.
BENNY
Yeah, whatever, I want to hear about this RSN+ thing.
TREVOR
The thing you promised the Des Moines affiliate they'd be front and center on?
BENNY
I did?
TREVOR INTERVIEW
I don't know why I remind him.
TREVOR
Well RSN Des Moines content is ALL over RSN+. I don't know if it's helping anything, but who am I to know.
DEVIN
Benny, you said you were going to go after more new affiliates?
BENNY hushes DEVIN.
BLAKE
Yeah, how are those other affiliates coming along?
BENNY
They're...uh. You see...
NICOLE
You botched it.
BENNY nods.
KYLIE
Figures. Oh well. Better luck next time, I guess.
KYLIE leaves the meeting, as if it was over.
