Saturday TV Ratings 4/4/26: Saturday Night Live Rises As Jack Black Joins Five-Timers Club, The Ten Commandments Up from 2025, College Basketball Tournament Final Four Heavily Down from 2025 CBS Airing [+ Analysis]

Jack Black returned to host Saturday Night Live (0.76, +0.07) on NBC, and his presence appeared to have a positive effect on the sketch-comedy staple's Adults 18-49 ratings. MLB on Fox (0.32) was down from last week, but it still outperformed ABC's broadcast of The Ten Commandments (0.26). This Is UFC (0.06) bombed on CBS, and 48 Hours (0.13, -0.06) seemed to suffer as a result. Saturday TV Ratings 3/28/26: World Figure Skating Championships Down from 2025, A Royal Setting OK on Hallmark, March Madness on TBS Easily Leads [+ Analysis]

MLB on Fox (0.6) was the top over-the-air broadcast on Saturday night, while NHL on ABC (0.25) placed second. The World Figure Skating Championships (0.14) fell behind a repeat of Saturday Night Live (0.18) on NBC. CBS's 48 Hours (0.19, -0.12) declined after last week's sports-fueled surge. Friday TV Ratings 3/27/26: March Madness Rises Again for Duke/St. John’s Game, RuPaul’s Drag Race Rises, Celebrity Jeopardy! Stable [+ Analysis]

CBS's March Madness broadcast (2.23) led the way on Friday night, while UFL on Fox (0.11) evidently underwhelmed. Celebrity Jeopardy! (0.31, 0.00) was stable on ABC, while 20/20 (0.24, -0.03) cooled down. NBC aired comedy repeats (0.20/0.12) and Dateline (0.17/0.12). The CW went with reruns of Penn & Teller: Fool Us (0.05) and Masters of Illusion (0.04). Key: (R) = repeat.
