Wednesday TV Ratings 7/1/26: FIFA World Cup Erupts to All-Time High with USA/Bosnia & Herzegovina Match, Brilliant Minds Rises for Series Finale, Top Gun: Maverick Respectable [+ Analysis]
The US v. Bosnia & Herzegovina FIFA World Cup game posted an enormous 8.5 rating on Fox, a number rarely seen on broadcast television in 2026. On NBC, Brilliant Minds (0.20, +0.06) ended with a finale surge, but it was not enough to put it above a Celebrity Wheel of Fortune repeat (0.22) on ABC. On CBS, a showing of the film Top Gun: Maverick (0.19) was at a decent level. The CW (0.04/0.02) was entirely in repeat mode. Key: (R) = repeat.
Tuesday TV Ratings 6/30/26: Presidential 1776 Award Draws Little Interest, World Cup Slightly Down, America’s Got Talent Hits Season Low [+ Analysis]
CBS's broadcast of the Presidential 1776 Award (0.13) did not impress on Tuesday night, barely posting a higher Adults 18-49 rating than a repeat of ABC's RJ Decker (0.12). Over on NBC, America's Got Talent (0.30, -0.07) and Password (0.20, -0.03) were both down from last week. FIFA World Cup coverage on Fox (3.47) remained massive, while the CW's WWE NXT (0.07, -0.04) weakened. Key: (R) = repeat.
