Doctor Odyssey: It's our second week straight with Doctor Odyssey as the only show to discuss. Not much has changed in that week, but Doctor Odyssey did look a bit better last week than it did the week before, and it managed to narrow the gap between it and its time slot rivals, Matlock and SVU. That being said, a 0.26 isn't all that much different than a 0.23. At the end of the day, both are below-average ratings that keep ABC in dead last at 9 PM among the big three. It's not a ratings disaster on the level of some of NBC's 0.1 dramas or Fox's... well, their entire network, but it's still ABC's second-lowest-rated scripted show L+SD ratings (though last week, it did manage to beat The Rookie, 0.26 vs. 0.23). Its delayed ratings aren't entirely awful, rating only two hundredths behind Will Trent, The Rookie and Grey's for their most recent L+7 ratings (0.44 for it vs. 0.46 for the other three), so it is at least showing some sort of signs of life in delayed ratings. If ABC is high on the show, and is desperate to make it work, nearly matching the ratings of some of their well-regarded veterans could be enough for them to give it one last chance. However, I have my doubts that there's anything Doctor Odyssey can do to change its fate. There's only four episodes left, and ABC probably has enough data about the show to have a pretty clear idea of what they want to do by now. It's been relatively stable since it returned, and it hasn't had a rating that meets the league average since its third episode in early October, despite a strong lead-in. It was also their lowest-rated show in multiplatform ratings the last time these ratings were reported. While The Conners is likely lower than it now due to minimal streaming internet in that show, that doesn't change that ABC's seven renewed shows were all clearly ahead of Doctor Odyssey in the multiplatform averages. Doctor Odyssey doesn't seem like it's worth giving a second chance to, especially with Ryan Murphy getting a different show for next season in 9-1-1: Nashville. And so, we're ultimately in the same place now as we were last week: I believe that Doctor Odyssey hasn't shown it earns renewal, and would've been renewed by now if ABC intended to do that. Being the only show left without a renewal is likely a death blow for the show, a sign that ABC won't be renewing it. It's doing decent enough to finish out its order without being considered a Titanic-esque catastrophe, but not well enough to sail on to season two. It's still a LIKELY CANCELLATION.

Announcing the ABC Renew/Cancel March Madness Champion!
After four rounds of voting, we've found our champion! It was a comedy smackdown in the finals, with both Abbott Elementary and The Conners pulling off two upsets to get to the championship match, something I admittedly didn't see coming whatsoever when this tournament began. Abbott had the harder road to the championship, facing breakout freshman drama High Potential in the first round and #1 seed 9-1-1 in the second. It won both by less than twenty votes. The Conners had the most votes of any show in both rounds of voting, beating Will Trent by nearly thirty votes and more than doubling the vote count of Shifting Gears. However, a massive increase in votes in the championship round made it anyone's game. In the end, it was Abbott Elementary that was able to appeal to the masses, winning roughly 55% of the vote and the title of ABC Renew/Cancel March Madness Champion. With that win, it's the first live-action sitcom to win any of TVRG's March Madness tournaments. The Conners ends its run without winning a March Madness tournament, but it's impressive that it made it here at all, considering that it was a first-round exit last time, against a fairly weak opponent, one it easily beat this time around. Station 19 won last year, on the back of a fan campaign to save the show. The Conners is ending this season, but didn't have quite that energy behind it, though clearly fans were energized enough to keep it around this long. Thanks to everyone who voted, and we'll see you for another tournament next March!
