Wednesday TV Ratings 2/25/26: Scrubs Revival Starts Strong, Survivor 50 Premiere Draws Four-Year High, The Greatest Average American Below-Average [+ Analysis]

Scrubs (0.66/0.55) made a triumphant return to ABC on Wednesday night, maintaining a strong Adults 18-49 ratings presence for the full hour. At nine, The Greatest Average American (0.27) dropped dramatically from there for its series debut. But while ABC got success out of Scrubs, it was CBS's Survivor (0.95) that ultimately posted the night's highest rating, barreling past every rating from the fall for its season premiere. On Fox, The Masked Singer (0.24, -0.06) dealt with a sharp decline, but Fear Factor: House of Fear (0.28, +0.07) surged. NBC aired repeats of The Voice (0.25) and Chicago PD (0.18). On NBC, the Winter Olympics (1.32, -0.02) dipped slightly, but it was easily the highest-rated broadcast of the night. ABC aired repeats of Abbott Elementary (0.18/0.14/0.13/0.12) and Shark Tank (0.10). CBS aired encores of Survivor (0.17), Hollywood Squares (0.12), and Matlock (0.07). After dealing with some declines, the Winter Olympics (1.5, +0.07) rose slightly on NBC, providing the network with another night-topping performance. But despite the competition, Fox's The Masked Singer (0.3, +0.1) rebounded significantly. Fear Factor: House of Fear (0.21, +0.02) was also up, albeit to a lesser degree. On the repeat front, ABC aired encores of Shifting Gears (0.17/0.16/0.11/0.08) and Shark Tank (0.08), while CBS aired reruns of Survivor (0.16) and Matlock (0.07). Chicago Med (0.31, -0.02), Chicago Fire (0.25, -0.05), and Chicago PD (0.22, -0.03) could not stop the bleeding on NBC, as all three programs were down for a second week in a row. ABC comedy Shifting Gears (0.36, -0.02) also slipped, but Abbott Elementary (0.40, +0.06) had a shocking surge. Later, Dirty Talk (0.18, +0.01) ticked up for its finale, and Shark Tank (0.15, +0.02) also rose. On CBS, The Price Is Right At Night (0.31, +0.10) gained a full tenth in its move to eight, and Hollywood Squares (0.27, +0.09) also rose dramatically in its new time slot. The Masked Singer (0.34, 0.00) and Fear Factor: House of Fear (0.26, 0.00) were both steady on Fox, as was the CW's Police 24/7 (0.04, 0.00). Fox brought Fear Factor: House of Fear (0.26, -1.34) to its official time slot, and it evidently shed much of its NFL-inflated premiere rating, but it began at a respectable level nonetheless. Earlier in the night, The Masked Singer (0.34, +0.05) bounced back. On ABC, Shifting Gears (0.38, -0.07), Abbott Elementary (0.34, -0.09), and Dirty Talk (0.17, -0.08) all dealt with serious declines, but Shark Tank (0.13, +0.01) actually gained a tick. Chicago Med (0.33, -0.01) and Chicago Fire (0.30, -0.01) shed a hundredth apiece on NBC, while Chicago PD (0.25, -0.03) had a slightly larger drop.
