ABC Renew/Cancel Week 27: RJ Decker Looks Like the Odd Man Out + Final Predictions for The Greatest Average American, Shark Tank, American Idol & More!

The ABC season is nearing its end, and the network is expected to hand out renewal and cancellation decisions as soon as this week. With most of ABC's lineup already renewed for next season, it's time for me to take a look at the stragglers, and see which shows are likely to return, and which we've likely seen the last of.

Wednesday TV Ratings 4/22/26: Abbott Elementary and The Greatest Average American Rise for Finales, Survivor Slides to Season Low, Chicago PD Rebounds [+ Analysis]

ABC's Abbott Elementary (0.39, +0.03) was up for a special 8 p.m. showing, but it cooled down at 8:30 (0.35, -0.04) for its actual finale. Later, The Greatest Average American (0.26, +0.09) surged for its finale, while Shark Tank (0.20, +0.02) rose slightly. On CBS, Survivor (0.81, -0.23), America's Culinary Cup (0.20, -0.06), and Hollywood Squares (0.12, -0.02) all declined. Chicago Fire (0.39, +0.05) and Chicago PD (0.31, +0.08) climbed higher on NBC, but Chicago Med (0.30, -0.02) slipped. Over on Fox, MasterChef (0.27, +0.07) and The Floor (0.23, +0.02) were both up. Police 24/7 (0.06, -0.01) ticked down on the CW. Key: (R) = repeat. (F) = finale.

Wednesday TV Ratings 4/15/26: MasterChef Up from Season 15 Premiere, Survivor Rises Above 1.0 for First Time in Five Years, Scrubs Ties Low for Finale [+ Analysis]

It was a monumental night for CBS as Survivor (1.04, +0.12) rose enough to put a one before the decimal point, a rarity in the modern television landscape. But despite that growth, America's Culinary Cup (0.26, -0.02) actually declined. Hollywood Squares (0.14, +0.04), meanwhile, rose. Over on ABC, Scrubs (0.39, -0.03) slipped for its finale. Abbott Elementary (0.36, -0.03) and The Greatest Average American (0.17, -0.06) were also down, but Shark Tank (0.18, +0.02) bucked the trend. NBC went with repeats of Chicago Med (0.20), Chicago Fire (0.22), and Chicago PD (0.19). The Floor (0.21, -0.05) had quite a fall on Fox, but it was still a notch above the season premiere of MasterChef (0.20). Key: (P) = premiere.
