Drunk History Canceled by Comedy Central

Drunk History is history. Despite having been renewed for a seventh season, Comedy Central has axed plans to return to filming the show, ending its run after six seasons. The acclaimed show has been Emmy-nominated for much of its run, including this year. Hosted by creator Derek Waters, the show, which featured retellings of historical events by intoxicated people, premiered in July 2013 and produced 70 episodes over its run, ending in August 2019. This cancellation is the latest in Comedy Central's purge, after previously shipping The Other Two and South Side to HBO Max after previously renewing them. Awkwafina is Nora From Queens is their only remaining live-action scripted program. The sixth and final season of Drunk History averaged a 0.2 in the demo and 0.39 million viewers, an 18% and 15% drop, respectively.
