Bluff City Law: Let's start with the freshman show in the "best" shape. Bluff City Law had the biggest lead-in of any.new show on broadcast this year and still flopped with a 0.8, nine tenths below its Voice lead-in and a full ratings point below Voice's 1.8 at 9:30. That is a terrible result, one that shows no potential whatsoever. Holding 100% of that rating in the second week (at least preliminarily) makes it look a little better, especially given that The Voice was down a bit. However, the similarly-rated The Enemy Within (which averaged a 0.74) was canceled last spring despite airing after a Voice season that averaged a bit lower than the one leading into Bluff City Law. Once Bluff City drops (as it inevitably will), it'll probably end up below that, and it's a pretty clear cut on a network that's packed so as it is. It's a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
Sunnyside: In one of the worst ratings for a series premiere in the history of broadcast television, Sunnyside kicked off its first and only season with a 0.4, somehow down 40% from last year's terrible time slot premiere of I Feel Bad. It actually tied the low of I Feel Bad right out of the gate. We all know where that show ended up, so it should go without saying that Sunnyside is dead. Extremely dead. It's a CERTAIN CANCELLATION.
Perfect Harmony: With a slightly higher in raw but equally terrible debut as Sunnyside, Perfect Harmony premiered with a 0.5. With a 0.8 lead-in from Superstore and little competition, Perfect Harmony didn't have much of an excuse to do anywhere near this terribly. Making matters even worse for it is that unlike Sunnyside, this show isn't even a fully-owned. It being co-produced by 20th TV makes it even less likely that NBC will give it a pity renewal, as they won't be getting full profits from it like they would with Sunnyside. It's also a CERTAIN CANCELLATION, because NBC seemingly can't win with their newbies this season.
