It's the middle of a ballgame at Primitives Park, when LORENZO is pulled aside by LENNIE.
LORENZOLennie! My friend!
LENNIE
Got a minute?
LORENZO looks around at his restaurant and sees countless people.
LORENZO
Not exactly. In fact, I could use your help...
LENNIE
Why'd you call me the other night?
LORENZO
Oh. That. Yeah, my friends seem to think you're in the Mafia.
LENNIE
We can't let this get out.
LORENZO
Huh?
LENNIE
The news. We can't let it get out!
LORENZO
Uh..yeah. So anyway, I'm gonna go back to work now.
LENNIE
I've been in business since 1973 and I'm not about to go to -- go out of business, do you hear me?
LORENZO
You're plenty loud enough.
LENNIE
Then you understand. Don't forget what I'm giving you.
LENNIE walks away, and LORENZO gets back to running Lorenzo's Kitchen for the rest of the game. Shortly after, he calls CHASE, MADISON, REAGAN, SAM, ADAM, and LINCOLN.
LINCOLN
What's the update?
LORENZO
He's in the Mafia. Whatever that is.
REAGAN
Oh, his food must be good.
SAM
Reagan!
REAGAN
What? Do you disagree?
LORENZO
His food's really good.
ADAM
Either way, what he's doing is illegal.
MADISON
So...if someone were hypothetically to try to sue him, would we represent them?
CHASE
Hell no! Do you value yourself?!
MADISON
Seems like an easy win to me.
CHASE sighs.
LORENZO
I would never sue Lennie. Maybe he's in this Mafia group you speak of, but he's a good guy. He's even giving me access to his supplier.
ADAM
Lorenzo, you can't under any circumstance take him up on that offer!
LORENZO doesn't answer.
LINCOLN
Lorenzo...
LORENZO
What would you say if I told you I already did?
ADAM
Change cities?
LORENZO
What would you say if I told you I already did that too?
MADISON
We know about that one.
REAGAN
New plan, Lorenzo. You have to start making everything from scratch. Or however they want you to do it in your contract.
LORENZO
Frozen.
REAGAN
Then do it that way.
LORENZO
What about Lennie?
REAGAN
Lennie will be Lennie. Worry about yourself.
LORENZO
But what if Lennie gets in trouble?
MADISON
Lennie's not going to get in trouble. Stay out of trouble yourself.
CHASE
We all know you didn't know any better. Just get back to what the Primitives are telling you to do.
LORENZO
If I did what they told me to do, I wouldn't have taken any naps when I was in the bullpen.
LINCOLN
This is serious, Lorenzo.
LORENZO
Fine. I'll listen to you. But my food quality is going to suffer!
ADAM
Would you rather have sub-par food quality or ties to the Mafia?
LORENZO pauses.
