Ride or Die Canceled by Prime Video

Prime Video has announced a cancelation of action drama Ride or Die after its first season. The cancelation comes just days after the series left Prime Video's Top 10 TV shows chart, where it spent its first 22 days at #1. After premiering on July 15, it racked up 1.6 billion minutes viewed for the week of July 17 through July 23. It remained the second-most-viewed streaming original by its third full week.

However, weekly viewership does not tell the whole story. When Ride or Die was the second-most-viewed streaming original in its third week, a since-canceled Ransom Canyon on Netflix was the most-viewed. The series is also only partially produced by Amazon MGM Studios; Paramount Television Studios is shopping the series to potential buyers.

Per Television Stats, Ride or Die's Attention Score was a 32.6 upon its premiere. This lags behind all but one other scripted series that premiered new episodes on Prime Video this summer (Batman: Caped Crusader). The recently-renewed Sterling Point, meanwhile, premiered with an Attention Score in the mid-50s and remains above a 9, whereas Ride or Die was down to a 2.8 at the time of its cancelation. Prime Video's latest new scripted series, Neagley, is in the 70s.

It's also not the first Prime Video original to spent 20+ days at #1 in 2026, and notably fell off its #1 perch shortly after the series premiere of Sterling Point. And while Ride or Die may be considered an overall stronger performer than Elle, it's tough to beat out a show that had already been renewed before it had even premiered.
