KISS KISS GOODBYE

Episode 6: “Tell Me You Have An Alibi”

FADE IN:

INT. HOTEL BALLROOM – NIGHT (FLASHFORWARD: 1 MONTH INTO THE FUTURE)

The music has stopped. The air is thick with shock.

Sophia Caldwell’s body lies on the floor. Blood slowly spreads beneath her.

Julian stands still. His hands clench into fists.

Ava isn’t breathing.

Danny runs a hand down his face, muttering under his breath.

Security pushes through the crowd. A hushed panic spreads.

HOTEL SECURITY
(to the crowd)
Nobody leaves this room.

Phones are already recording.

Julian’s eyes meet Ava’s.

Something unspoken passes between them.

Then, from somewhere in the crowd—

A SINGLE SCREAM.

CUT TO BLACK.

TITLE CARD: KISS KISS GOODBYE

INT. PRESTIGIOUS CONSULTING FIRM – DAY (PRESENT DAY)

Back in the present—before the murder.

Ava sits at her desk, scrolling through an email.

Subject line: "URGENT: We Need to Talk."

It’s from Sophia.

She hesitates. Deletes it.

Danny slides into the seat across from her, tossing a file onto her desk.

DANNY
(smirks)
Tell me you have an alibi.

Ava doesn’t flinch.

AVA
For what?

Danny raises an eyebrow.

DANNY
For whenever the hell this all blows up.

Ava exhales. She doesn’t have an answer.

INT. JULIAN’S OFFICE – DAY

Julian sits at his desk, flipping through documents. His jaw is tight.

Sophia stands across from him, arms folded.

SOPHIA
(low)
I don’t trust you.

Julian looks up.

JULIAN
That makes two of us.

A long beat.

Sophia slides a thin envelope across the desk.

SOPHIA
I have something. Something real.

Julian’s fingers twitch, but he doesn’t reach for it.

JULIAN
And why are you giving it to me?

Sophia leans in.

SOPHIA
Because if I go down… I’m not going alone.

A heavy silence.

Julian finally takes the envelope.

INT. ELEVATOR – NIGHT

Ava and Danny ride down together. The tension is thick.

Danny leans against the wall, watching her.

DANNY
(quietly)
Do you trust him?

Ava doesn’t answer.

DANNY
Yeah. Me neither.

The elevator dings.

Ava steps out.

Danny stays behind. Watching her go.

EXT. PARKING GARAGE – NIGHT

Sophia walks briskly to her car. She dials a number.

It rings.

SOPHIA
(into phone)
We need to move faster.

Silence. She listens. Her grip on the phone tightens.

SOPHIA
Then we don’t wait for them. We do it my way.

She hangs up. A car engine revs nearby.

She turns—and stops.

A shadow moves in the distance. Watching her.

She exhales, forcing herself to walk forward.

INT. HOTEL BALLROOM – NIGHT (FLASHFORWARD: 1 MONTH INTO THE FUTURE)

Back to the night of the murder.

Security has sealed off the area.

Julian stands near the bar, staring into nothing.

Danny paces, running a hand through his hair.

Ava is still by the body. Unmoving.

A DETECTIVE steps forward.

DETECTIVE
(to the crowd)
We’re going to need statements from everyone.

Ava finally looks up.

Her eyes meet Julian’s.

And for the first time—Julian looks afraid.

FADE TO BLACK.
