NBC doesn't exactly have a full slate of original scripted shows at the moment, but with a few shows on the schedule that I haven't yet given predictions, plus the return of Superstore, it seems like a good time to bring back the NBC Renew/Cancel. The Blacklist
Connecting...: The newest comedy on NBC is already making history. Not only are its cast members entirely apart during filming on this socially-distant sitcom, it's also the lowest-rated NBC comedy ever. Dropping as low as a 0.2 in its second despite NBC drawing about a 2.0 earlier in the night, the show is flopping to standards previously unseen. It's a massive hole in NBC's schedule, and has dropped even lower than recent NBC bombs like Indebted and Sunnyside ever went. Filming has already resumed on nearly all shows by this point, and all shows will be back to filming by next season, so even the fact that it's filmed on Zoom won't really boost its prospects. There's no reason to even think of bringing this back. It's a CERTAIN CANCELLATION.
Transplant: This Canadian import isn't lighting the world on fire, but it's doing okay. It grows when given larger lead-ins, and given how cheap it has to be for NBC to air it, has to be making NBC some money even with the low ratings. It's probably not going to be given any sort of priority slot, or even an in-season slot, ever again, but these numbers are probably enough for it to be back in the summer. It LEANS RENEWAL.
