Tuesday TV Ratings 4/26/22: FBI and This Is Us Tick Down, Judge Steve Harvey Hits New Low for Finale, To Tell the Truth Ends Slightly Up (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.41/0.34) rose by a hundredth in the 8PM slot but dropped to a new series low for the latter-half of its two-hour finale. The 9PM installment sported a rating that was less than half of its premiere from early January (0.73). 'To Tell the Truth' (0.30, +0.03) picked up three-hundredths for its season closer at 10. 'This Is Us' (0.84, -0.02) shed two-hundredths on NBC, but 'Young Rock' (0.40, +0.08), 'Mr. Mayor' (0.31, +0.02), and 'New Amsterdam' (0.37, +0.01) all made gains. CBS's 'FBI' (0.55, -0.01) and 'FBI: International' (0.49, -0.04) dipped as 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.47, +0.02) rose by two-hundredths. Fox's 'The Resident' (0.37, -0.04) ticked down while 'Name That Tune' (0.28, +0.03) grew for the first time this season. Despite being absent for nearly a month, The CW's 'Superman & Lois' (0.18, +0.07) climbed to its highest rating since late January. 'Naomi' (0.06) was frozen at its series low at 9.

Tuesday TV Ratings 4/19/22: Blackish Down for Series Finale, FBI and Name That Tune Also Slide, This Is Us Easily Leads (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Despite lasting eight seasons, spawning two spinoff shows, and having a whopping 175 episodes under its belt, ABC sitcom 'Black-ish' (0.37, -0.06) went out with a whimper on series finale night. The Anthony Anderson comedy fell by six-hundredths when compared to the episode that aired the week prior and a retrospective special that came after (0.26) was nearly the lowest-rated broadcast on the big four networks. 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.40, -0.14) slid all the way down to series low territory at 8 while 'To Tell the Truth' (0.27, -0.04) shed four-hundredths in the 10PM hour. CBS also had nothing but declines as 'FBI' (0.56, -0.07), 'FBI: International' (0.53, -0.01), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.45, -0.06) all lost some ground. NBC's 'Young Rock' (0.32, -0.09) dropped by close to a full tenth but 'Mr. Mayor' (0.29, +0.01), 'This Is Us' (0.86, +0.09), and 'New Amsterdam' (0.36, +0.02) all bested their previous installments. Fox drama 'The Resident' (0.41) held even as 'Name That Tune' (0.25, -0.08) crashed to yet another new low. The CW's 'Superman & Lois' and 'Naomi' had matching 0.07s for their respective reruns.

Tuesday TV Ratings 4/5/22: This Is Us Rises and Tops Evening, Abbott Elementary Steady, Mr. Mayor and Name That Tune Slip (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's 'This Is Us' (0.81, +0.13) soared to its highest rating since early January and effortlessly topped the evening. 'The Thing About Pam' (0.35, +0.04) was also able to gain a few ticks, but comedies 'Young Rock' (0.32, -0.02) and 'Mr. Mayor' (0.27, -0.02) descended to new lows in the 8PM hour. 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.45, +0.05) and 'Black-ish' (0.35, +0.01) made some gains on ABC as 'Abbott Elementary' (0.49) held steady in-between them. 'To Tell the Truth' (0.28, -0.05) slipped to last place in the 10PM hour. 'The Resident' (0.43, -0.01) and 'Name That Tune' (0.35, -0.03) dealt with small declines on Fox. CBS had reruns of 'FBI' (0.45), 'FBI: International' (0.38), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.30). The CW aired encores of 'Superman & Lois' (0.04) and 'Naomi' (0.05).

Tuesday TV Ratings 3/29/22: Name That Tune Has Middling Premiere, Young Rock Hits New Low, Abbott Elementary, This Is Us and Judge Steve Harvey Also Lower (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Fox game show 'Name That Tune' (0.38) was a shell of its former self on premiere night, going below every season one rating and falling by almost 50% from its 2021 debut (0.72). Earlier in the evening, drama 'The Resident' (0.44, -0.02) shed two-hundredths in its return from a 21-day hiatus. NBC comedies 'Young Rock' (0.34, -0.08) and 'Mr. Mayor' (0.29, -0.02) plunged to new lows in the 8PM hour. Dramas 'This Is Us' (0.68, -0.07) and 'The Thing About Pam' (0.31, -0.04) also declined at 9 and 10 respectively. 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.40, -0.06) and 'Abbott Elementary' (0.49, -0.05) slipped on ABC, with Harvey's program falling to its lowest rating on record. In the back-half of the night, 'Black-ish' (0.34, +0.02) and 'To Tell the Truth' (0.33, +0.07) were able to pick up some steam. CBS's 'FBI' (0.66) held even but spinoff shows 'FBI: International' (0.56, +0.04) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.57, +0.04) rose by four-hundredths apiece. Ratings Analysis: After nearly two months off the air, ABC's 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.46, -0.14) slipped to its lowest rating to date in the 8 o'clock timeslot. Sitcoms 'Abbott Elementary' (0.54, -0.10) and 'Black-ish' (0.32, -0.11) suffered similar blows after taking a month off but avoided hitting new lows. 'To Tell the Truth' (0.26, -0.03) shed three-hundredths at 10. CBS's 'FBI' (0.66, +0.01) gained a hundredth, 'FBI: International' (0.52) held flat, and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.53, -0.01) lost a hundredth. On NBC, comedies 'Young Rock' (0.42, -0.01) and 'Mr. Mayor' (0.31, -0.04) shed a few ticks as dramas 'This Is Us' (0.75, +0.07) and 'The Thing About Pam' (0.35, +0.04) rose by seven-hundredths and four-hundredths respectively. On Fox, the 'iHeartRadio Music Awards' (0.49) improved by 4% from the 2021 ceremony (0.47). 'Superman & Lois' (0.13) was flat on the CW, but 'Naomi' (0.07, +0.01) inched up.
