Tuesday TV Ratings 4/12/22: Abbott Elementary Rises for Season Finale, The Thing About Pam Ends Slightly Lower, This Is Us and FBI Shows Also Slip (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC sitcom 'Abbott Elementary' (0.57, +0.08) capped off its first season in solid fashion and posted its strongest rating in nearly two months. 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.54, +0.09) and the penultimate episode of 'Black-ish' (0.43, +0.08) climbed to their highest ratings since February while 'To Tell the Truth' (0.31, +0.03) had a more modest rise. 'The Thing About Pam' (0.34, -0.01) ticked down for its finale, as did the 9PM edition of 'This Is Us' (0.77, -0.04). 'Young Rock' (0.41, +0.09) nearly gained a full tenth at 8 as 'Mr. Mayor' (0.28, +0.01) rose by a single hundredth. On CBS, 'FBI' (0.63, -0.03), 'FBI: International' (0.54, -0.02), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.51, -0.06) all declined. 'The Resident' (0.41, -0.02) and 'Name That Tune' (0.33, -0.02) forfeited two-hundredths apiece on Fox. The CW aired reruns of 'Superman & Lois' (0.05) and 'Naomi' (0.03).

Tuesday TV Ratings 4/5/22: This Is Us Rises and Tops Evening, Abbott Elementary Steady, Mr. Mayor and Name That Tune Slip (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's 'This Is Us' (0.81, +0.13) soared to its highest rating since early January and effortlessly topped the evening. 'The Thing About Pam' (0.35, +0.04) was also able to gain a few ticks, but comedies 'Young Rock' (0.32, -0.02) and 'Mr. Mayor' (0.27, -0.02) descended to new lows in the 8PM hour. 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.45, +0.05) and 'Black-ish' (0.35, +0.01) made some gains on ABC as 'Abbott Elementary' (0.49) held steady in-between them. 'To Tell the Truth' (0.28, -0.05) slipped to last place in the 10PM hour. 'The Resident' (0.43, -0.01) and 'Name That Tune' (0.35, -0.03) dealt with small declines on Fox. CBS had reruns of 'FBI' (0.45), 'FBI: International' (0.38), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.30). The CW aired encores of 'Superman & Lois' (0.04) and 'Naomi' (0.05).

Tuesday TV Ratings 3/29/22: Name That Tune Has Middling Premiere, Young Rock Hits New Low, Abbott Elementary, This Is Us and Judge Steve Harvey Also Lower (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Fox game show 'Name That Tune' (0.38) was a shell of its former self on premiere night, going below every season one rating and falling by almost 50% from its 2021 debut (0.72). Earlier in the evening, drama 'The Resident' (0.44, -0.02) shed two-hundredths in its return from a 21-day hiatus. NBC comedies 'Young Rock' (0.34, -0.08) and 'Mr. Mayor' (0.29, -0.02) plunged to new lows in the 8PM hour. Dramas 'This Is Us' (0.68, -0.07) and 'The Thing About Pam' (0.31, -0.04) also declined at 9 and 10 respectively. 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.40, -0.06) and 'Abbott Elementary' (0.49, -0.05) slipped on ABC, with Harvey's program falling to its lowest rating on record. In the back-half of the night, 'Black-ish' (0.34, +0.02) and 'To Tell the Truth' (0.33, +0.07) were able to pick up some steam. CBS's 'FBI' (0.66) held even but spinoff shows 'FBI: International' (0.56, +0.04) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.57, +0.04) rose by four-hundredths apiece. CW dramas 'Superman & Lois' (0.11, -0.02) and 'Naomi' (0.06, -0.01) saw their numbers shrink

Tuesday TV Ratings 3/15/22: Mr. Mayor and Young Rock Return With Lows, The Bachelor Ticks Down For Finale, This Is Us Inches Up (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Sophomore sitcoms 'Young Rock' (0.43) and 'Mr. Mayor' (0.35) returned with a whimper on the NBC network. Though these two comfortably outpaced what 'American Auto' (0.33) and 'Grand Crew' (0.28) garnered last week, they began below even their lowest-rated episodes from season one. 'This Is Us' (0.68, +0.01) picked up a hundredth at 9 as 'The Thing About Pam' (0.31, -0.09) had a sizable decline in week two. ABC's 'The Bachelor' (1.09, -0.02) lost two-hundredths for its season finale but remained well above the first ten episodes of its season. Repeats of recently-renewed 'Abbott Elementary' (0.35/0.25) took over the 10PM timeslot. CBS's reruns of 'FBI' (0.40), 'FBI: International' (0.37), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.33) were a clear step above Fox's encores of 'The Resident' (0.25) and 'The Masked Singer' (0.24). The CW went with feeble repeats of 'Superman & Lois' (0.06) and 'Naomi' (0.03).

Tuesday TV Ratings 3/8/22: The Thing About Pam Has Decent Premiere, The Bachelor Leads on Special Night, American Auto Barely Up For Finale (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Debuting immediately after the lowest-rated episode of 'This Is Us' (0.67, -0.06), new drama 'The Thing About Pam' (0.40) had a lukewarm launch in the 10PM hour. This rating was definitely an improvement over the last handful of 'New Amsterdam' episodes (0.35/0.37/0.34) but still not strong enough to withstand a harsh post-premiere drop. Earlier in NBC's evening, 'American Auto' (0.33, +0.01) and 'Grand Crew' (0.28, +0.03) scraped together a few extra ticks for their season finales. On ABC, 'The Bachelor' (0.76, -0.10) was a tenth lower than Monday's episode while 'To Tell the Truth' (0.29, -0.02) remained an eyesore at 10. CBS's 'FBI' (0.65, +0.04) climbed a bit higher, 'FBI: International' (0.52, -0.01) shed a hundredth, and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.54) held even. Over on Fox, 'The Resident' (0.46, +0.10) gained a tenth, but 'I Can See Your Voice' (0.28, -0.09) floundered on finale night. CW dramas 'Superman & Lois' (0.13, -0.02) and 'Naomi' (0.06, -0.04) crashed to new series lows.
